The room was clean and basic. Good aircon.The pool was lovely with a view of Stromboli smoking away! Breakfast was a large cold buffet with lots of cold cut choices and sweet cakes/ pastries. Nice to sit outside on the terrace for breakfast. Lunch is optional from the pool bar, mainly pasta/ salad or panini choice , seating covered in shade by the hanging plants.we walked from the ferry in about 20mins, little moterbike taxis also available from hotel.

Lovely hotel

We only stayed two nights, but were entirely happy with the hotel.
A friendly and helpful manager, nice rooms, clean pool with a great view, a good restaurant and fine location. Also just a short walk (2 min) from a marvellous rocky beach.
The wifi is a bit too weak (only worked properly for us near the reception), but did not really bother us. They allowed me to do my work in the reception.
Fully deserves its four stars and is definitely one of the top hotels on Stromboli.

Paradise in Stromboli

Stromboli is a surreal town in many respects, volcanic, wild, magical... the Hotel La Sciara is a location worthy of this Paradise... very professional welcome with helpful and polite staff. The rooms are very bright and functional, furnished with taste and elegance. There is also a large swimming pool in the facility where you can spend moments in total relaxation. And like the icing on the cake... the breakfast, truly one of the richest and most complete we have ever seen... we will definitely return. Great job, everyone. With affection, Angelo and Marina!!!

NEGLECT AND FILTH. In summary: TRASH

Old facility. Neglect everywhere: from the common areas to the rooms. Rooms that look like prisons with iron doors and windows, dirty and with amenities that are not even remotely close to a four-star hotel. Unfinished finishes, dirty walls, pool full of hair. I would add that the property is half a construction site. I don't understand if those who left positive reviews have never traveled before or are relatives of the owner. They had the photos on the site taken by a professional because they are absolutely far from reality. The only vaguely positive note is the breakfast. Very kind Fabio at the reception; the rest is to be forgotten. NEVER AGAIN.

We had a good time.

We spent two fantastic days at this property, which is well-organized and very cute. We were welcomed with competence, grace, and professionalism. Very beautiful location, standard rooms. We were a group of 8 people and our stay was, by unanimous opinion, satisfactory.
Recommended.
