My Granddaughter and I returned from our holiday after staying at Casa Alessandra
for 6 nights.
I cannot express what wonderful kind people the family who own the hotel are.
They were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble and always had a little chat with us when we got back at night asking what our day had been like. They made us feel like we actually was in their home rather than a hotel. The gardens was enormous and beautifully kept and even had a lovely swimming pool.
Breakfast was plentiful.
I have to say the only downside to us staying there is that there is 100 steps up to the front door or a short hill but was very steep. I must admit I did find it a struggle especially not expecting it with 2 heavy suitcases.
The host see i was struggling but helped us with our cases and did offer not to charge us if we wanted to find somewhere else to stay.
Once we finally got into the room and see the beautiful view of the lake from our balcony we decided to stay.
I'm so glad we did stay with this lovely family we could not have been treated better but please beware if you do have ant ailments or chest complaints you will need to get a cab home at night because to climb up the steps or hill is a struggle and I think Booking.com who we booked with should point this out

Home from home
This is a lovely B&B on the main road into Malcesine. We had a car but the tourist bus operates from early morning to late at night, with bus stops very close to the hotel. The views are spectacular, the pool and gardens are immaculate and the lake is just a cross the road for swimming. The rooms and breakfast room are quaint and kept selflessly clean. The beds are made up and towels changed daily-very unusual for a small hotel. Good variety continental breakfast. Emanuela and her Mother are very welcoming. Yes majority of guests are German-typical for this area. Nevertheless, Emanuela speaks excellent English and despite the language barrier, her Mother was very friendly and we were made to feel very welcome. Emanuel also went out of her way to give us any information we needed.

What a welcoming place!
This hotel is a family run place, just up the hill from the main road on the East side of the Lago. The place is tidy, clearly very well cared for, and something that the owners take great pride in. We felt incredibly welcomed by the owner and her daughter. The rooms were clean and comfortable, even without AC (there is a fan). The breakfast was really incredible! This is no US-style continental breakfast, it was really lovely, homemade jelly, delicious cheeses, meats. It varied on the two mornings we were there. The owner greeted all of the guests as they came in for breakfast, in a kind and genuine way. The owners told us a bit about the local attractions and when to go + some tips, which was very useful. It is probably 1-2 kilometers from Malcesine, which was the only downside of our experience; it was not possible (or not to our knowledge) to quickly walk somewhere for a meal. That said, you certainly could walk to a spot on the beach!

We loved our stay at this hotel . It is more like a B&B in that it is personally run with friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is on a hill with spectacular views from the room over the lake. You can walk from the hotel to the lakeside just across the road for swimming, sailing etc. The garden is personally tended and totally delightful with terraces and plenty of sweetly laid out seating areas. Lovely clean pool with seating and sun loungers alongside.
Room compact and ventilation needed air con but of course depends on the temps when you stay It can be very hot and airless.
We had a car to get to Malcesine 2 miles or so away and sailing but there is a bus if you don't have a car. Breakfasts very charmingly laid out with brilliant views over the lake while you eat!

Fabulous
A very freindly family run B+B, nothing was too much trouble!!!
situated in a quiet area Just a few yards from the shores of beautiful Lake Garda. Just outside Malcesine but within easy walking distance and close to some wonderful pizzarias. All rooms have a balcony with fabulous views overlooking lake garda.
