Fantastic for the price

Nicely situated with trains running to Milan malpensa airport and the city centre from the local train station. Friendly staff and a good, quiet atmosphere. No curfew to speak of, and air conditioning in the rooms was excellent given the temperatures outside.
Fantastic value for the location and condition of the place, all the beds have privacy curtains and individual reading lights.
The bathrooms are cleaned weekly, so their condition deteriorates as the week goes on. Still useable though!
Overall would highly recommend to anyone seeking cheap accommodation in Milan.

Cool neighbourhood - lots of character. i was only there for one night and it's perfectly adequate - my room mates were quiet as mice and hid the whole time, but you get that. Shower flooding seems to be a recurring theme, m y suggestion would be to put some aside to upgrade as it does get flooded frequently. Can't just be a small group of loco backpackers.

The room I had is a 6-people and mixed one. It’s very small. The aisle between beds can only accommodate three people standing.

Not recommended

1. For no good reason, I got bed change inside a room. The decision was not made before, but at very short notice. I was away from the hotel, and when I got back, I found a stranger in my bed. The new neighbor had been assigned the bed. On the bed lay my toothpaste, toothbrush, face cream, shower gel, shaver - all gone. No one could provide information. And the cleaner hadn't changed the sheets; nobody knew there were new sheets to get. Maybe my descendant was still using my sheets without knowing. He didn't know anything.
2. Kitchen too small, with over 100 guests only about 10 square meters; no privacy at all in the kitchen. At the same time, only 4 people can eat there.

This is a great place to stay for a few nights! Of course, the quality of your stay is often determined by luck-of-the-draw on your hostel mates, but Bovisa Urban Garden has everything else covered! There is a super cute bar/bistro to hang out in, a courtyard, and lots of other restaurants near by.
