First return to Milan since 2013.

I chose Casa Calicantus using Booking. It seemed to me the closest solution to the area of Via Canonica, Paolo Sarpi, Via Bramante and Via Alfieri. As well as the Monumental Cemetery.
I wanted to visit the places where I had lived with my family between 1959 and 1975 on the occasion of a centenary celebration of the Chinese community in Milan.
The choice fulfilled my intentions. Not including the bed, which turned out to be too soft. I didn't foresee that I wasn't used to walking long anymore. And the visits had to be done on foot. However I think I will choose Casa Calicantus again if I have to stay in that area in Milan.
I found the decor pleasant. The only defect is the arrangement of clothes hangers that make it difficult to arrange long dresses such as traditional coats or raincoats.

Quite OK for a short trip

Small B&B in a side street. A few rooms, from very small to spacious. At the back, right next to the train line, very loud, open window = impossible. At the front, a wall and military/police.
Otherwise, top location, 5 minutes walk from Piazza Sempione.
It must have been TOP at one time, all the Booking and Tripadvisor awards at the entrance from 2012-2017 suggest that. :-)
Parking nearby, €25 for a few hours up to 24 hours.
Breakfast more than sparse, boring, no fresh bread.
Staff rarely on site.
Safe in the room - but not mounted, you could just take it with you.

Very kind host

Rossana is the kindest host We look forward to staying here on another trip. The place is in a beautiful part of Milan and Rossana was really responsive and taking care of everything. Thank you! Each room is different from another and the house has historic character.

Welcomed warmly, left as friends. Absolutely would stay again!

To begin with, the host of this B&B hotel, Rosanna, is a gem. A genuinely warm, gracious and lovely owner. She was a great resource for information on local restaurants, ways to get around (her place is right off a main trolley line, a short way down a quiet street).
We were traveling in celebration of our 50th Anniversary, and were so very surprised and pleased to find a bottle Prosecco waiting for us in the room.
Be advised there is no lift, but that didn't matter much as we were on the first floor up. And the room. It was lovely, simple and clean, good bathroom, lots of plugs for charging, even a second sitting room (not sure if other rooms also have that).
Breakfast was consistently good, accompanied by cappuccino, if desired.
Location, excellent. Just outside the busy downtown, in a quiet neighborhood nearby. Very safe. Near an absolutely beautiful park. Easy walking distance to a nearby square with terrific restaurants. Around the corner from a full grocery.
Altogether, a wonderful stay, greeted by a wonderful host.
We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Very Nice B&B style hotel near Parco Sempione and Cadorna Station

A very nice BnB type hotel near where we stay with our family in Milano. The hotel is very reasonably priced for this part of Milan. The rooms were well equipped with modern baths and on our friends 2nd stay they were upgraded to a large 2 room suite at no charge. Service is warm and makes on feel welcomed. Coffee, tea and snacks are available all day and a free breakfast is included. A little gem in this part of Milano.
