Hotel Milan

A great hotel, located next to a metro/tram station from which you can explore the city of Milan very well. Friendly staff, the hotel rooms are well cared for and it is quiet. The breakfast was also well catered for and despite the fact that few people seemed to use the bar, we were also well looked after here.

This hotel is in an excellent position for shopping, joining the hop on hop off bus, eating etc
The reception staff were particularly kind in recommending good restaurants, ordering taxis - taking us ti the road and making sure taxi driver was the right one and knew where we were going.
Breakfast had something for everyone and was really enjoyable.
The hotel itself is functional, well kept etc - I would recommend it .

Perfect location, ideal for Weekend break.

A boutique hotel, very modern with recent high end decor. A warm welcome was received. Room smallish but perfectly adequate.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was compact, modern and clean.
Very close to the Metro Station, (just outside the door). A busy part of the city but our room on the 4th floor was quiet.
There is no restaurant in the hotel but there are some excellent restaurants in the area.
Breakfast was good, some limited cooked options and the normal
choice of fruit, cereals and pastries etc.

Review of Hotel Fenice

The check-in was efficient. The room itself was reasonably large, still had a large wardrobe, was clean, except for a moldy shelf in the shower. The decor was a bit older, but apart from a worn bedside table and an old hotel hairdryer in the bathroom kept in good shape. Also during the stay was always thoroughly cleaned. My room was facing the backyard. Inside, however, the hotel was very noisy, so the sleep quality was mixed. All hotel staff were friendly and service oriented, no matter if reception, breakfast, bar service or housekeeping. The breakfast buffet did not offer an infinite choice, but offered good and fresh food. The check-out was efficient. Here we found that a bar bill was not booked and also a bottle I consumed from the minibar did not appear on the bill. We pointed this out to the hotel, which then kindly waived the corresponding invoice items and did not book them. Luggage storage after check-out was no problem. The Price quality ratio was good by Milan standards.

Great stay

Great hotel stay. Really central for sightseeing, about 20 mins walk to Duomo and 20 mins walk to Milan central station for trains to Como and airport bus. We had a triple room and it was spacious enough for our short break. Mini fridge was useful for our drinks, room had a safe and large wardrobe. The room was warm but air con worked well. The included breakfast was good quality and a varied selection. Reception staff were friendly. The hotel is on a busy street but our room at the back of the hotel on first floor was quiet. We did not need to use metro or taxis during our stay we could easily walk everywhere. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby. For location and value this hotel is a good choice.
