New hotel, great decor.

We stayed here in late July. We used our Marriott points which was only about 50k points a night. This I think is a steal for a 5 star hotel. I’ve read reviews that people say it’s overpriced compared to other 5 star hotel but with Marriott points it’s definitely a great deal. We had originally booked Straf hotel by the duomo but changed to here. I can’t say how Straf is but the pictures looked more inviting at the Nemi. The location is more quiet compared to hotels near the duomo which I think with a child, worked better for us. The tram is close by and the neighborhood felt safe. The hotel itself seems very new and clean. The lobby is cute with a boutique hotel feel and decor. The staff helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room without even asking which was very welcoming. I originally booked an executive suite but then when I emailed them to see if my daughter can stay in our room, they suggested a Jr suite upgrade. I emailed them back that I couldn’t get the Jr suite with Marriott points, they agreed to upgrade us to a Jr suite at no extra cost. The room was the biggest we had stayed in during our trip with 4 different hotels. It had a king bed and a sofa bed which made it seem like two rooms. The sofa bed had its own tv and table. The only gripe was the sound of the restaurant on the lobby level which we could hear on the first floor. So I recommend getting a higher floor if you’re an early sleeper. The view was also average, looking at other buildings. We didn’t try the restaurants but they seemed busy and lively. Overall a great stay.

Beautiful hotel

The hotel is conveniently located close to a metro station, with plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. If you’re planning to visit the Duomo or central Milan, you’ll either need to take a taxi or enjoy around a 25-minute walk. We walked it a couple of times and actually enjoyed seeing parts of the city we would have missed in a taxi. One thing to be aware of is that taxis can be difficult to hail on the street, so it’s best to ask the hotel or a restaurant to call one for you, or use a designated taxi rank, which can be difficult for tourists to locate.
The hotel staff were excellent throughout our stay. They were friendly, professional and always happy to help with any requests or recommendations. Breakfast is served buffet-style and offers a good selection that should suit most guests. Hot cooked items, such as pancakes, are available for an additional charge. While the choice was good, I found the overall breakfast to be fairly average compared with other hotels.
Our Junior Suite overlooking the courtyard was spacious, quiet and very clean. It was well equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini fridge and complimentary bottled water, which was replenished during our stay. Overall, the room was comfortable and provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

Great hotel

Very nice rooms (family suite). Clean and comfortable. Large and clean bathrooms. Very convenient turndown service. Breakfast variety could be improved. Very friendly and polite staff.

Perfect Spot in Milan

This is a lovely hotel to stay in Milan - good location that is central enough but in a residential neighborhood away from the crowds. The garden is a perfect place to enjoy the breakfast buffet or any other meal and there is a small gym to work out. Most of all the staff is wonderful from the folks at the door, to the front desk and the restaurant, especially Azurro (sp?) who took great care of us. We want to thank the manager for not charging us for the extra room we had clearly booked by mistake! Customer service at its finest!

My new 'home away from home' in Milan

Nemi Hotel is my new 'home away from home' in Milan. The loation is away from the crowd, with the sweetest restaurants, boutiques, and antique shops around. The hotels is beautiful, with a garden that makes you feel like you are not in the city. The design is comfortable, chic, and very Italian. Highly recommended.
