Comfortable apartment with character

We stayed here on our journey from England to Puglia. The apartment is well situated close to the old town centre. Good, very secure parking nearby. Marie Louise was most helpful and made a booking for us for dinner at Zelmira (excellent recommendation). The apartment has lots of character with books and art, a welcoming wood burner. The bed was very comfortable. Nice breakfast provided by Gloria. We stayed downstairs in the blue room but both rooms were nice.

I can’t tell you any more about this place because they cancelled our reservation of 11 months, only 36 hours before our arrival, despite us having confirmed our arrival time 6 weeks previously. They had decided to give the room to someone else.
They claimed to have no record of our booking although difficult to explain why they contacted us to ask us to cancel if they hadn’t got the booking.
The owner was very unhelpful and made no attempt to work with her booking agent to resolve the issue. She did not respond to the booking agent’s calls to confirm she had double booked, which delayed finding alternative accommodation by a further 12 hours. In addition she tried to pass blame to us suggesting we should have called her directly a month before the arrival date to check she was still in business and able to accommodate us.
At such short notice we were unable to get another room in the town.

Superb stay - i hope to get back there soon.

It was an unexpected surprise as I thought i had booked a hotel...and not a B&B which ended up feeling like i was actually at home away from home. Absolutely stunning heritage real estate, only 2 rooms in the whole place which really made it for a quiet stay. Incredibly friendly owner and helper (Gloria I loved you). They helped both with info on how getting around town, doctors required last moment and restaurant reco (in fact they have a printed list of the best restaurants in town as you arrive). Super romantic stay, shame my husband wasn't with me. Amazing location as in very easy to walk around. Unfortunately, as I was there for work didn't have enough time to take pictures, but the upstairs room/living area was just perfect. I wish i had more time to sit in there and write my journal.

Charming as the name suggests

Family home for generations but the friendliest host Louisa gave great advice on where to visit. Gloria who serves breakfast was lovely and accommodating. Ideal location for visiting all the sights in the center of Modena on foot.

Elegant Enchanting and Exquisite

As two couples we absolutely loved staying here. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed our private rooms and areas as well as public living room. Beautiful place with elegance and character. In essence we felt like we were living in Modena. Car parking was a non issue on street can walk everywhere as right outside of old city. Also easy to drive under 20 minutes to sights north and south. María Luisa our host was very special great recommendations on restaurants and sites and gave an overview of the town and local places Gloria served us breakfast and yes Italian but you can also add ham and cheese. We had fresh juice and breads yogurts and coffee. Fine for us. Highly recommend for a special place in a quiet lovely neighborhood, building and apartment. We will be back
