Great staff fine food nice location
we stayed for 2 nights in this perfect place the entire team from reception to check out were sensational. The room large and decorated with love. From the pool you have a beautiful view and invites you to linger. Breakfast and dinner 10 out of 10 points a dream. Be sure to book.

We returned last month from our trip to **Villa le Calvane** and I’m still dreaming about our stay. It was truly a masterclass in Tuscan hospitality.
The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like royalty, yet it’s their genuine warmth that really stands out.
The accommodations are breathtaking. The rooms are impeccably designed and create a sense of peace that is hard to find elsewhere. A highlight was the stunning infinity pool; lounging there with a panoramic view of the rolling Chianti hills was pure magic.
Every meal was a celebration of local flavors, perfectly paired with incredible wines. You can even order olive oil from their groves and wine from their vineyards to take home or they will assist with the shipping!

Given the prices and the 5 star rating, experience below our expectations
The site enjoys a magnificent setting, with a splendid view of the Tuscan countryside. Our room was elegant, spacious and nice, the shower room simple but decent. On the other hand, for an establishment of this standing, some details are surprisingly absent: no coffee machine or kettle, no bottle of water offered on arrival (only a mini-bar for a fee, corrected late by bottles dropped off during the Cover Service).
Service and benefits
Welcoming on arrival lacked warmth and friendliness, which immediately gives a pretty cold impression. No help with luggage from the parking lot. The spa is limited to a sauna, which was not working. The pool, beautiful but cold, is an asset; too bad a sprinkler remained all day on the skyline.
Restauration
We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant La Terrazza, where we ate well, despite the presence of mosquitoes.
On the other hand, the breakfast was disappointing: varied fruits and correct cheeses, but an inedible omelet served without care, a very poor bread, and supermarket Twining tea – a choice that reflects neither the search for quality nor the highlighting of local products.
Comfort and management
Comfort was also tarnished by extremely noisy air conditioning, to the point of preventing us from sleeping. We had to turn it off despite the sweltering heat of August, which is far from the peaceful and relaxing experience we had come for.
In general, the whole lacks attention to detail and seems poorly managed: some spaces give a neglected impression, such as the elevator leading directly to the view of the kitchens and a poorly cared for floor.
Conclusion
While there is no denying the beauty of the site and the charm of the surrounding Tuscany, the establishment is clearly overrated in terms of the services and Service offered. You won’t necessarily have a bad time there, but don’t expect the refined experience and attention that is usually associated with a true 5-star. The value for money remains disappointing.

Beautiful serene place to stay
Gorgeous place to stay and unwind. Loved the pool and the wine tasting!!! They have amazing, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Leo went above and beyond truly an exceptional experience!

Nice place and staff but no aircon!
Giving 4 star,
Breakfast was good, breakfast staff was good too.
Rooms are pretty and pool side is beautiful.
Would have given 5 star if the air con was working too.
£500+/ night stay and air con did not work even after calling 5 times. On last day I woke up in pool of sweat as it was so hot. Man at reception hung up on me saying he is not the technician!
Spoke to another lady, she kept repeating that their panel at the reception is showing 17, regardless of seeing that panel in the room was showing 22.5. Then she was asking me if I was finding 22.5 too hot. After arguing for 20 min.s she told me she will send a fan up. Which she did but they did not turn on the aircon at al, all that time!!!!
Very inconvenient and frustrating.
They tried to make up by giving bottles of wine but not good enough. What I needed was a cold room! Sorry!
