Lovely family home

This is a room in a family home. It has a separate entrance and bathroom. The family is musical and travels. They are delightful and encouraging and interested in the Via Francigena. The courtyard has a cute garden. Although it is near the train tracks, the trains are quiet. Comfortable room, good bed. Nice breakfast.

very pleasant stay

We just stayed one night due to a motorbike trip through upper Italy but very much enjoyed the warm welcome and caring of the hosts Roberto and Vittoria. This is how a B&B should be. We plan to come back, especially for the classical music weekends they organise near Mortara in autumn.

Quiet room but poor breakfast for ten euros

This is a clean room in a quiet location where we received a warm welcome from the hosts. Unfortunately the night we stayed there were a couple of mosquitoes in the room, which had no mossie screens. The wi-fi was also weak to zero.
We were offered a ten euro continental breakfast, which turned out to be our most disappointing breakfast yet in Italy, eg. croissants wrapped in plastic and no fresh fruit. The plus side is that there is a garden and the hosts are friendly.

A Home from Home

This was an excellent stopping point in our walk along Via Francigena. The owners, Roberto and Vittoria, were the best hosts. The accommodation was very flexible to meet our needs and the house was clean, comfortable and quiet. The owners answered all our travel queries and had an intimate knowledge of our walking path. The breakfast was continental style and tasty.
The owners brought us in their car down town to Mortara and advised on drinking and eating locations. The even brought a limping colleague to the train station by car to catch a train.
The garden was also a delight - quiet, beautiful and lovely to sit out in it.
I forgot my ipod on the departing day and Roberto and Vittoria took the trouble to drive to the other side of town to return it to me before we headed in to the countryside.
If you are in this area, go for this stopover!

Lovely family, nothing too much trouble, comfortable and private accomodation

Location was 5 mins walk from centre of Mortara, house very clean and quiet. Family extremely helpful, including recommending good place to eat and accompanying me to Dr to have some stitches removed. Nothing too much trouble. Signor Allegra also helped me by transferring my luggage as I am on the Via Francigena.
Thank you for a comfortable stay.
