A reconfirmation after some time.

We chose the hotel restaurant for a reunion. We were a very large group and we agreed on a menu based on the strong dishes of the house: a very rich appetizer based on vegetables cooked according to tradition, meatballs, various fried foods including a very fresh fried fish. And then, octopus in pignata, broad beans and chicory and orecchiette with turnip tops. All excellently made and presented.

Ottimo Ristorante casereccio

Abbiamo pranzato nel Ristorante IL BASILICO sito all'interno dell'hotel, alla carta. Siamo capitati dipo il periodo delle festività natalizie per cui non c'era un vero e proprio menù, ma il proprietario ci ha consigliato i piatti disponibili. Devo dire che siamo rimasti colpiti positivamente: prima ci ha deliziati con un piatto tipico della stagione e del posto Purea di fave e cicorie selvatiche e dopo con il primo della casa Spaghetti Sayonara. Ci siamo leccati i baffi. Complimenti, torneremo con piacere.

Ho soggiornato qui perchè l'albergo dove soggiorno di solito era chiuso per lavori. Ambiente molto buio e freddo alla reception, probabilmente per risparmiare. Nella camera caloriferi spenti e riscaldamento con la pompa di calore del condizionatore (era una giornata fredda e molto piovosa). Arredamento risalente agli anni 80, con 2 lettini singoli al posto del classico matrimoniale ad uso singolo. Bagno molto piccolo con doccia provvista di una scomodissima tenda, anzichè le pareti rigide che usano ormai tutti. La pulizia generale è buona. Colazione con fette biscottate e biscotti confezionati, perchè a detta del proprietario non avevano portato i cornetti; ho chiesto un succo d'arancia e mi è stato portato un purè di arancia (la macchina schiaccia le arance anzichè spremerle; va cambiata o riparata) imbevibile. Prezzo 45 € a notte, ma non ci tornerei.

Luogo accogliente, servizio familiare ma preciso e professionale, cucina con piatti locali, antipasti di terra e di mare, primi ... molto buoni, per secondo una "Cernia" ... una bontà! Per finire un sorbetto al limone, come una volta!

Come a casa

Abbiamo soggiornato dal 6 al 13 luglio presso questo Albergo con una coppia di amici nella piccola ma splendida Muro Leccese. Ci siamo trovati subito benissimo, siamo stati accolti dal proprietario Luigi che si è prodigato per la nostra migliore sistemazione. Le stanze sono confortevoli e pulitissime per non parlare della biancheria nuovissima e cambiata giornalmente.
Non avevamo previsto di mangiare al Ristorante dell'Albergo, ma una volta provato non ci abbiamo più rinunciato: ogni giorno Luigi ci faceva assaggiare pesce freschissimo ed anche la pizza era ottima, in molti gusti e cotta alla perfezione.
Consiglio questo Albergo che non ha nulla da invidiare ad una categoria superiore.
