What a location!
I arrived in the late afternoon, just in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset. That alone was well worth the price!
The room had a view over Orvieto and it was nicely restructured so that it felt retro yet not old, simple yet comfortable: I loved it. I appreciated a lot the fact that complimentary shampoo and body soap were organic. Nightgown and slippers were also complimentary.
It was impossible not to fall in love with the big gardens of this estate: I felt immersed in the green and totally in peace with myself; an excemption to grass, flowers and trees was the inviting swimming pool were I chilled out. At night the gardens are lit up and it's possible to sit down on a couch placed there: bliss! A friendly cat was my nice companion while lingering outside.
I decided, a bit late, to try their own restaurant: I was grateful they accepted my late reservation without a problem. Food was good but nothing to write home about: if anything, the next time I would try to eat out. It's really the only "downside" I can think of.
Sleep quality was excellent: it's so quiet up there that it was impossible to be bothered by something. Wish I could sleep always that well!
The best thing of my entire stay had yet to come though and it's a very importan matter to me when selecting an accomodation: the breakfast.
It was beautifully presented, something I've never seen before: it looked like a painting, I felt bad at "ruining" it by starting to take things to eat. Both sweet and salty choices were available, particularly delicious were the three different kind of cheese and the crostata. It was also possible to prepare by yourself fresh orange juice.
I can recommend this place and I wish I had more time to enjoy it, one night was not enough but my Umbria schedule was pretty busy. The next time I'd plan at the very least a two nights stay.

A most wonderful stay
The staff were so warm and welcoming - the owner Giacomo was on hand and involved - he was setting tables and talking to guests and passing on local knowledge when requested
There are just 5 rooms so you comfortably meet and chat to the other guests and swap notes on where to go on your next exploration
The dining room becomes the on site restaurant in the evening - good food in an intimate setting
Breakfast was excellent and we especially loved being able to press our own orange juice
Loved the location and the great views over the valley and the towns - we highly recommend and we will be back for sure
