Excellent base for visiting Parma and the Castles of the Duchy
We stayed at the Starhotels Du Parc in Parma during the Easter weekend, from April 4 to April 6, 2026, and the experience was very positive.
The hotel is in an excellent location, a few steps from the Ducal Gardens and about a 15-minute walk from the Pilotta Complex, which can be reached with a pleasant walk through the park. An ideal solution for visiting the historic center without having to use the car.
The property is well-maintained, and the rooms are spacious, quiet, and very clean. We particularly appreciated the excellent sleep quality, which made the stay even more pleasant.
During our stay, we also had the opportunity to stop for an aperitif in the hotel restaurant, where we enjoyed an excellent platter of cold cuts, which were high-quality and well-presented.
A thank you goes to all the staff, who were always kind, professional, and helpful.
Overall, it is a property that we feel we can recommend both to those who wish to visit Parma and to those who want to use it as a starting point to explore the splendid Castles of the Duchy and the surrounding area.

Good location, good property, but there are gaps in the service. Lack of bellhops, lack of bartenders in the hotel cafe, almost constantly.

Slightly dated but had a nice feel. Marble, physical room keys and large wardrobe took me back. We had a large junior suite at a reasonable price. Separate double sink area and toilet, bidet, bath and shower. 15 minute walk through the park and over the bridge to the centre of town. OK for us but not so good for less mobile.
Free soft drinks from mini bar if you skip room cleaning.
One strange thing was that turning off lights by the bed also turned off the USB and mains sockets so phone did not charge overnight.

Unmatched honesty and professionalism! An incredible team you can trust completely.
I am writing this review to express my deepest, most sincere gratitude to the outstanding team at Starhotels Du Parc. On June 3rd, after checking out and traveling to Milan, I realized that we had left an incredibly important package inside our room’s safe deposit box: our three passports, and a significant amount of cash.
While I do not have the specific names of the housekeeping team who cleaned our room, I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart. They demonstrated absolute honesty and integrity by immediately reporting and securing our possessions, including every single cent of the cash.
I was in touch with Ms. Charlotte Pader at the reception and concierge desk, who was a total professional during a very stressful time. She personally took charge of the situation, meticulously counted and verified all the money, and ensured everything was locked away safely. She held onto our belongings securely until a representative arrived from Milan later that evening to pick them up on our behalf.
When you travel, you hope to stay in beautiful places, but finding a hotel team with this level of trustworthiness and dedication to their guests is truly rare. Thank you to the housekeeping team, thank you to Ms. Charlotte Pader, and thank you Starhotels Du Parc for saving our holiday!
