“Authentic hospitality and sincere attention: a second home”

My experience at this hotel was really excellent. I spent a week for work and, despite having had a small health problem, the staff was extremely caring, attentive and helpful. They made everything simple, from meals to breakfast, with kindness and professionalism. Precisely for this reason I decided to confirm my stay throughout the month of November. A place where hospitality is authentic and is perceived every day.

Dirt and neglect in the rooms

I stayed two nights in this hotel as it was booked for me by the organization of a summer baskin tournament there in Pesaro. Unfortunately, the situation I found forces me to write a highly negative review about this hotel. In fact, I agree with the many negative reviews I have read here on Tripadvisor, which span from as far back as 2010 to the more recent year of 2023, and I regret to note that, after all this time, nothing or almost nothing is being done in this hotel to improve a state of affairs that is evident to all who pass through, indicating a lack of care and cleanliness, if not outright absence of it. I truly struggle to understand how there can be positive reviews present here, especially written recently, and I do not exaggerate when I say that the average score of 3.7 that I read here on Tripadvisor at the time of this review is disproportionately generous!!!
The real sore point of this hotel concerns the rooms!!! In addition to the old state of the places and furnishings, including the elevator and sofas in the corridors of the floors, there are serious deficiencies in hygiene and cleanliness that should instead be the fundamental minimum in the management of a hotel. The situation I observed should be brought to the attention of health inspections by the Nas of the Carabinieri and the local health authority.
In particular, I report the following indecencies that I found in the room assigned to me:
- completely dirty, stained, and dusty carpet throughout its entirety;
- wooden nightstands that are stripped and a wooden table with various signs of wear;
- electrical outlets missing next to the bed area, where they would be very useful;
- an internal phone that, besides being dirty and dusty, was unplugged from the outlet that wasn't even there where I found it positioned, making it unusable in case of need (and what is it doing there, then?);
- balcony with a very dirty floor (I have no idea how long it has not been cleaned), with dirty white plastic chairs, various rusty pipes, a dirty air conditioner (I did not turn it on, I do not know if it works), broken marble separating the room from the balcony, and... even a chewed gum left abandoned on the balcony!;
- bathroom: small and narrow, lacking a window necessary for airing out the odors that can emanate from a bathroom; the internal door handle already damaged; the door on the inside quite stained with various dry substances accumulated over time; a buzzing fly that was flying around the white-pink-purple tiled floor in the upper part of the room; a small and narrow shower space, with slightly cracked tiles but especially with a completely rusty shower head and pipes, a floor stained with who knows how many substances accumulated over time and never cleaned, a bidet with rust and limescale on the knobs and spout, and with a water flow that was not sufficient to allow for proper personal hygiene.
All documented by my attached photo review (viewing recommended for the strong of stomach!).
A little better in the dining area, especially with the first courses, but it should be noted that at the table, including the first courses, there was nothing so inviting that made one say "how good!" nor, even less, made one want to return, and they really need to improve on desserts (a kind of very dry chocolate grandmother's cake and a chocolate tart that was really hard to chew!).
This review should serve as a prompt to the hotel manager, who has distinguished himself for a lack of relational and communicative tact, to reflect on the conditions of the rooms: I strongly doubt that in his own home there are sanitary conditions similar to those of the rooms he assigns to his clients! I also strongly doubt that he would enjoy staying in such rooms if he were a guest at other hotels finding himself in sanitary situations similar to those he offers to his clientele!
From a 3-star hotel, one expects much more, starting from the fundamentals of the hospitality industry.

A simple yet nice hotel, within the walking distance to the sea. Early check-in was a big bonus. Nice receptionist.

Liliana and Domenico from Bergamo

We stayed at this hotel until July 10 and had a nice holiday. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, nothing was missing. Our every request has been granted. We opted for Half Pension and had the convenience of choosing whether lunch or dinner day by day, typical cuisine with very tasty and well cooked fish, the only flaw: the desserts left something to be desired. Owner and staff very courteous and helpful.
