Pioppi and the Hotel Promenade Blue in my ❤️

We returned to the Promenade again this year for a long vacation. The hotel is a 'gem' of Pioppi. The hospitality, professionalism, rooms, cleanliness, and food are on par with the best facilities in Italy. Thanks to the owners for having us spend an unforgettable vacation once again.

the usual people from Cilento... never again!

Last summer... We try this accommodation facility in Pioppi (SA), in Cilento... The hotel is good, small, clean.
But the flaw is the owners (they are brother and sister): they made us pay even for the air we breathed. Water at the table, desserts (and it wasn't written on the menu). Portions both at breakfast and at dinner really on the verge of starvation, albeit of good workmanship, taste and presentation.
At breakfast, if you wanted an extra croissant (compared to what you had ordered the night before), it became a national incident!!
The room was comfortable, spacious, and clean.
Satellite TV in the room: we were getting ready to watch a Serie A soccer match on DAZN. At the end of the first half, the connection was cut off because, according to the owners (the same usual "stingy" Cilento locals), we had to pay... But it was not written anywhere that the TV was for a fee.
In short, if they could have, they would have even taken our underwear.
NEVER AGAIN!

Gentile Signora Annalisa, ci dispiace molto per la sgradevole impressione che Le ha lasciato la Nostra Struttura.
Da sempre abbiamo a cuore l’obiettivo di rendere il più piacevole e sereno possibile il soggiorno dei nostri ospiti, in un clima che sappia di famiglia, di autenticità e che consenta un dialogo aperto e sincero con il cliente, anche e, soprattutto, con lo scopo di poter risolvere nell’immediato qualsiasi problematica o disguido possa insorgere.
Pertanto, ci dispiace molto leggere le Sue parole a distanza di UN ANNO, quando è, evidentemente, troppo tardi.
Premesso ciò, ci sentiamo comunque in dovere di rispondere punto per punto a quanto da Lei affermato, avendo riscontrato NON POCHE INCONGRUENZE.
1. Partiamo dal collegamento DAZN che MAI avremmo potuto staccarLe, per il semplice fatto che non abbiamo mai posseduto un account DAZN e che, quindi, risulta impossibile che vi siate potuti collegare utilizzando delle credenziali da noi fornite.
2. Passiamo poi alle porzioni che Lei definisce “ ai limiti della fame”…
Ci viene davvero da sorridere, in quanto, da buoni cilentani, come Lei ci definisce, ci piace mangiare e vedere PIENI i nostri piatti e le nostre tavole. (Tutto riscontrabile dalle innumerevoli recensioni rilasciate dai Nostri ospiti…)
A colazione, poi, offriamo la possibilità di scegliere, la sera precedente , tra QUATTRO PAGINE DI MENU’… il Croissant, evidentemente, non era stata la Sua scelta!
3. Ancora, se le è capitato di aver pagato una bibita o un dessert, non ci sembra sia successo nulla di anomalo, ma rientra tutto nella assoluta normalità di un Hotel che non è “all inclusive”!
4. Per quanto riguarda la Sua osservazione sulla mancata pulizia serale della piscina, ci rendiamo contro, che è solo MANCANZA DI COMPETENZA: Le spiego …
La pulizia serale della piscina prevede l’aggiunta di antialghe e/o cloro e/o flocculante allo scopo di distruggere batteri, virus e far precipitare sul fondo sostanze organiche e inorganiche. Processo che viene fatto di notte per consentire una facile e ottimale rimozione sul fondo (con robottino o aspirafango) la MATTINA SUCCESSIVA.
5. In ultimo… Le foto che Lei ha allegato hanno un qualcosa, come dire, di “anacronistico”: i lettini sul retro, non corrispondono a quelli in uso la scorsa estate, ma diversi anni fa!
Detto questo, la salutiamo e Le auguriamo buone vacanze che, se dovessero essere a Pioppi, le trascorrerà sicuramente nell’unico “Hotel” che non ha recensito, nella stessa giornata, in malo modo!

Excellence at Pioppi.

The promenade is an excellence. The rooms are spacious and impeccably clean. The beds are very comfortable and spacious. The sea-view terrace allows you to enjoy it even when you are in your room and to always breathe in its scent.
The food is a delicacy, all locally sourced. The chef, Maria, is a true chef; every dish is superb. Wendy, the housekeeper, keeps the rooms tidy and fulfills every request you have. Giovanna and Antonio, the owners, are exceptional hosts; you feel at home, protected, and pampered. They are constantly attentive to your well-being. The smiles of all of them, their kindness, and hospitality accompany you throughout your stay.

Let me tell you my delicious secret.

Writing this review is an act of love, indeed two. The first is towards my neighbor to whom, for excess of generosity, I reveal the existence of this gem with only six rooms exposing myself to the risk of not finding one for my future vacation. The second is towards Giovanna and Antonio, the owners, and Maria, the cook, the "trio of wonders" of the Promenade Bleu. Here I return with renewed enthusiasm for fifteen years finding it more and more beautiful, more and more cared for and renewed. This is because of the enthusiasm, dedication, grace and care that the brothers put into managing it, updating and enriching it more and more for the pleasure of those who stay there. It is the same for Maria's kitchen, faithful to the tradition and products of the Cilento area but open to innovation and creativity without which cooking is not art but craft, not conquering but tired. What always stays the same is the crystal clear sea, the breathtaking views, the enchanting gardens and the extraordinary Welcoming that makes this Promenade Bleu the ideal route and half unmissable.

Eccezionalmente TOP!!!

Abbiamo soggiornato 8 giorni in questa fantastica struttura. Non saprei dire cosa mi ha colpito di più. La posizione comoda e fresca, la piscina tenuta benissimo, la gentilezza dei proprietari, la pulizia delle camere, la bellezza del terrazzo con un panorama mozzafiato al tramonto, la disponibilità delle persone che ci lavoravano o la superlativa cuoca che ci ha deliziato con portate veramente strepitose...non saprei. So solo che siamo stati divinamente. Stra consiglio l'esperienza.
