More like a hostel dorm room

It's in a great location and it's relatively cheap, but it's lacking in comforts. If you think of this place like a hostel or a dorm room, then you won't be disappointed. However, if you compare this place to other "hotels", you will be disappointed. It got a single room. The toilet was down the hall and shared. The shower was also a separate room down the hall and shared. The room did not have air conditioning, which I didn't need because I came during the winter. The furnishings are old and basic, but if you're just in Pisa to see the tower, get some sleep, and move on to another city, then it's sufficient. The room and bedding and linens smelled old and musty and a bit dusty. My room was relatively quiet because my neighbors were quiet.

No compassion, no accountability

I booked a two-night stay but had to leave on the first evening. I was eight months pregnant and informed reception at check-in, yet I was given a room on the fourth floor with no lift.
The room was extremely hot and the portable cooling unit wasn’t working. Reception told me someone would come at 8 pm to fix it, so I waited. Nobody came and there was no update.
By 10 pm, after repeatedly climbing four flights of stairs and sitting in the heat, I started experiencing contractions and felt I had no choice but to leave.
What disappointed me most wasn’t the lack of a lift or air conditioning, as these are mentioned on the listing. It was the complete lack of care once the hotel knew my circumstances. Even after explaining what happened, the hotel refused to offer any refund, including when contacted by Booking.com.
I cannot recommend staying here based on how this situation was handled.

Disappointing and careless

Stayed at Helvetia Tower Hotel and parked nearby, as suggested by staff. My car was broken into overnight. Only afterward did I learn the area is known for thefts. The hotel failed to warn me, despite this being a recurring issue.
Also, there was only hot water available — even though it was 40°C outside. No cold water to shower or cool down. Completely unacceptable.

I found a room without bathroom be careful, the room first floor and the bathroom up to the second floor (a common bathroom)

Basic but great location

We had a very early morning flight from Pisa having spent a few days in Chiavari so spent a night to see some of the city.
You couldn’t get a better location being a 2 minutes walk from Piazza dei Miracoli with good restaurants nearby. The hotel is basic but good value for a night. The only downside was there is no air conditioning, but a ceiling fan. As the weather was very warm it made it difficult to sleep.
