A place to return to

Palazzo Circolone is an ancient building in the main square of Poggiardo. It is an ancient renovated palace that has, however, kept intact the vaults, floors, and inner courtyards of the past. Completing everything is a magnificent pool set in the internal garden, where one can relax surrounded by the shade of trees and enjoy an excellent breakfast. I thank Francesca for her availability from the moment of booking, and for organizing a late check-out allowing us to enjoy the pool. A place absolutely recommended.

A palace in the authentic culture of Italy

Prime location among locals. The Palazzo was simply breathtaking. Very beautiful to see and very well maintained. The staff makes the stay complete, very friendly and extremely helpful. They also speak excellent English which makes communication smooth.
Breakfast is very good. In addition to the buffet, you can also order from the menu, which is included in breakfast.
The room was fabulously beautiful. We had for our family of three people the family Suite Sikalindi. This room is very spacious and also has two bathrooms.

We were pleasantly surprised when we entered this hotel. The whole is built in Moroccan style and the rooms...WOW with capital letters! Staff are super friendly and helpful and the restaurant is enjoying.

A charming gem in the heart of Salento

A charming gem in the heart of Salento
We stayed at Palazzo Circolone from 27 July to 1 August as a family of six, including two older members, and we were absolutely delighted with this charming hotel. Everything was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean throughout our stay.
Four of us shared the Sikalindi room, which was large and spacious — and the two bathrooms were a real plus for a group our size. Breakfast was lovely and left nothing to be desired. The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff had no trouble understanding English.
The pool area was inviting and well kept, and the pool itself was clean — a wonderful spot to relax and unwind.
We would especially like to praise the girls at reception. Francesca was extremely helpful and spoke excellent English. They were all wonderfully welcoming and full of great recommendations for activities and places to eat, and they kindly called ahead to book tables for us at the various restaurants.
The hotel is perfectly located for exploring the Salento region, with almost everything within an hour's drive. Poggiardo itself also has a good selection of restaurants — a hidden gem is Caffè Borghese, with its lovely garden and great food.
A big thank you from all of us to Hotel Palazzo Circolone, and a wholehearted recommendation!
Many thanks

Charming small elegant hotel in centre of attractive little Salento town.

A charming small hotel in a lovely character building in the attractive centre of the town. Our standard bedroom was generously sized. A delicious breakfast with a good choice was served in the courtyard. The small pool and garden were a great facility. The cafe, wine bar and adjoining restaurant complimented the hotel well. The staff excelled, especially Francesca and Sandra. Francesca was so helpful and patient in sharing her extensive local knowledge and making arrangements for us which made a huge difference to our stay.
In view of the charm of the hotel and the excellent service, and the value for money, criticism seems unfair. Our only small gripe was that the air con struggled to overcome the heat in mid July but it was 35 centigrade at times.
