Embarrassing

Honestly, reading the other reviews, we expected more.
The large but old room, with dated floors, furniture, lights and fixtures. Only one socket for power, so those sleeping on the left side had to charge their mobile phone on the (dated) cabinet above the sink. But what was really embarrassing was the only light source, the window, overlooking an abandoned balcony completely enclosed by structures that we wondered if they were up to standard. Same situation unfortunately for the bathroom, outside, which was always accessed from a high step, as the room (so not accessible for those with mobility difficulties) where not only the window gave onto the usual blind balcony, but the closing system was also broken.
Among the positive things are the fact that we were given a permit to park the car, near the hotel (although now the glass is full of resin) and cleanliness.

I advise

Hotel located a few steps from the centre, between the two main squares, well connected by public transport and easily reachable by car. Rooms a little small but well kept and clean, owners very kind, friendly and available for anything. Excellent value for money

Middle of a ten day holiday

Great little hotel, family run. Everybody was very helpful, the room was very clean. With a/c if needed. Although we only stayed for three nights bedding was changed every day. Don't expect the Ritz, but it has everything you need.
The old part of Prato is excellent with plenty of restaurants. Its only 20mins by train to Florence so its easy to get around, good to get back to the hotel in the evening where you could get away from the crowds,

Great little hotel in center!

We stayed 2 nights in Prato and really enjoyed the helpfulness of the small simple hotel family management team! Nice clean functional room, good location on the edge of the medieval center of town and easy walking distance to all attractions.
