Like a warm second home!❤️
After a rescue from a muddy road where we ended up accidentally… and Daniela sent her nice guys to pull us free, we were warmly welcomed to Casa Balata (read the instructions for the road better than we did)!
We stayed in the little house where we really liked it!
This is a fantastic place with a really nice crew… from Daniela herself to her helpers in the kitchen and on the farm!
We had unusually cold and windy when we were there but felt like “kids in the house” and were nicely taken care of! Thank you for the good food, love and all the help!

A Wonderful Refuge
We stayed at Casa Balata for two nights at the end of September and we are so happy that we did. We wanted to add an agriturismo to our itinerary and Casa Balata exceeded our expectations. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and have breathtaking views of Realmonte and the Mediterranean. We enjoyed dinner the first night so much that we arranged to have dinner there the second night. It was a wonderful refuge after spending a full day of sightseeing at the temples. Breakfast was also amazing! Daniela and her staff are so kind and welcoming -- it was truly difficult to say goodbye! If you're looking to stay at an agriturismo in the Agrigento area, don't hesitate to book Casa Balata.

A special getaway
We stayed at Casa Balata for two wonderful days and nights. The photos on it's website do not do it justice. The rooms are larger and more interesting with wonderful views of the lovely gardens as well as views of the ocean, from most rooms. The pool area and the living room, which is full of books and color, are charming places to relax and linger. There is a real feeling of getting away.
We enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners there. You may think you want to drive to the beach or the city for a meal but you will find that when you return to Casa Balata after seeing the temples, the city or the beach, wild horses couldn't drag you away and you really don't want to drive up and down the hill/mountain road at night. The dinners include several thoughtful courses and are delicious and healthy. While each couple, family or group has their own table for the meals they choose to have there, we immediately joined tables with a delightful family and enjoyed their wonderful company as well as a lovely bottle of wine. All meals are outside unless the weather is very unsuitable. We had warm days and cool nights at the very end of September and a lot of sun.
The owner of Casa Balata is warm, intelligent, artistic and helpful. I felt like she was a friend by the time we left. Casa Balata was our one of our favorite places to stay out of the many lovely places we stayed in Sicily.

Charming Inn Near Agrigento
Charming inn with beautiful, comfortable furnishings. What made this accommodation even more special was the incredible hospitality offered by Daniela and her team. We really enjoyed our meals at a communal table with other guests. Convenient to Agrigento. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Charm Galore!
Casa Balata was a great first stop for our group of seven. The hospitality was wonderful, beautiful location, with stunning views of the Sicilian countryside in Realmonte. The grounds were beautifully maintained. The accommodations were fabulous, airy, romantic, and so very inviting, the pool very refreshing. Wonderful host, Daniela was full of love and dedication, greeted us like long lost relatives! She has put so much dedication and thought into all of the design, art work. Great spot for anyone seeking to connect with nature. Food was fabulous. Her staff served us wonderful breakfast consisting of sweets, hard boiled eggs, fruit galore. We had dinner there also, the food was traditional Sicilian fair, beautiful in it simplicity, and gastronomically stimulating at the same time. Daniela very accommodating of our food sensitivities. The dinner was intimate to our group of seven, it was a great way to begin our Sicilian adventure, having intimate discussions and laughs while sitting at her beautiful long Sicilian table. This is a perfect place to have family travel too or girls get away. It is remote so you either need to drive there or as we did we had van service throughout our trip to take the stress out of driving. Very responsive to emails prior to stay. While we were there we visited the town of Sciacca, Valle dei Tempie, Scala dei Turchi, Mandrarossa Winery, in Menfi
