The perfect blend of hospitality and rustic charm.

We stayed at Montalbano for six nights mid-March. We had flown into Florence and rented a car. The drive from Florence to Montalbano is about 45 minutes on some winding, scenic roads. There is plenty of parking at the farm and our apartment, Stalla, was cozy and included two bedrooms, a bathroom and an eat-in kitchen. Out our door was a gorgeous view of the hillside and olive orchards. The farm animals on the property were sweet and made us feel at home. Daniela, the owner also made us feel at home: she is friendly and helpful, clearly wanting to assist in creating a memorable and comfortable time. March is a chilly time in Tuscany, but the shower was hot and the radiators provided just enough heat to keep us comfy. We are farmers and this is exactly the kind of vacation away from city centers that we look for. On our last evening, Daniela and two other staff members cooked a four course meal in the old farmhouse kitchen and dining room for our group of sixteen. It was truly remarkable and a great value considering we had a privately catered dinner in the Tuscan countryside. We would definitely come back here.

Simply fantastic location

Alone with three women, I survived only because the farm is simply beautiful. Everything worked perfectly. The swimming pool with small bar is wonderful. The oil they produce is delicious. Very Intini the small apartments

An absolute insider tip!

We were there for a week with several families, but would have loved to stay longer.
Beautiful scenery, in the Tuscan hills, about 30 minutes from Florence. Small towns nearby for shopping and eating ice cream, etc. The farm is very spacious... the children were able to explore everything wild and free and enjoy the animals. Beautiful natural stone pool with bar (!!) was a highlight... We booked dinner twice. Very delicious and really reasonably priced.
We enjoyed every moment. The hosts are incredibly friendly... we immediately felt at home. We will definitely be back!

Enchantment

The guide of Dante's path took us here, the farm is a little off the route but getting there was worth it for the kindness and helpfulness of the landlady and for the enchanting village surrounded by nature, it's a shame we stayed alone one night. We will definitely be back!

Summer getaway gem

A beautiful quiet place with all the amenities you need, set in the rolling hills of Chianti.
The owner and his staff are the kindest people. We found the whole apartment spotlessly clean and tidy.
On the premises you will find lots of animals, a nice pool area and a playground for kids.
Breakfast is served either outdoors or in the very cozy cantina of the main building, depending on the weather.
It contains all ingredients necessary, including freshly baked cake and croissants, delicious!
All in all a gem!
