Exceptional discovery
Magical place on the outskirts of Tropea. The attention and care in the details are the result of the great work of the managers of this splendid place.
Angelo, the owner, along with his family, will make you feel at home, accommodating every request. Excellent cleanliness throughout the establishment, especially in the bedroom.
Beautiful pool, not very large but pleasant and quiet for a break from the chaotic Tropea, which is only a few minutes' drive from the estate.
The real positive note is the breakfast: exceptional with homemade products. Delicious cakes, a la carte selection of fresh eggs (which come from their beautiful chicken coop) and many other delicacies prepared with care.
I am a very demanding person, and when I find places like this, I am truly happy because I feel good.
The only note, if we want to call it that, concerns the excessive light that enters the bedroom from the early hours of the morning: the curtains are not very darkening, and for someone like me, who is used to total darkness for sleeping, this could be a problem.
For the rest, highly recommended for everything! The best place in Tropea for the quality/price ratio!

4 days of tranquility
The estate is surrounded by greenery; the assigned room is small but functional, equipped with everything: Wi-Fi, adjustable air conditioning, a small balcony, bathroom like the room, clean, large shower. The welcome from the young lady at the reception is perfect; you have the feeling that your vacation will not have any problems, you just have to relax. Compliments also to Angelo, one of the owners, kind and helpful. These guys make you regain faith in Calabrian tourism, which is not always this welcoming.
The à la carte breakfast is good, the croissant is very good. I would rethink the juices. The price is high but it is in line with other 4-star hotels in the area. At least it is worth it! We will definitely return.

Great solution.
Great solution just 5 minutes from the sea and Tropea. You are immersed in greenery, with a wonderful sea view, which is unmissable at sunset. The pool is pleasant. A compliment for the care of the guest, but also for the cleanliness, not to mention the rich breakfast.

Beautiful location, but disappointing treatment of guests
We were very much looking forward to our stay at Tenuta Tropea and had booked a sea view room. Unfortunately, the vacation began with a major disappointment right at check-in.
At first, no one was at the reception, but the cleaning staff was very friendly and called a staff member. He showed us a garden room and explained that we had booked this one. Only after we presented our booking confirmation was it acknowledged that there had been a mistake on the hotel's part and no sea view room was available.
As an alternative, we were offered an old apartment in an annex that did not correspond in any way to the booked room category. After we declined this, we were finally upgraded to a comfort sea view room – but only for two nights. After that, we were supposed to move to the garden room.
Two days later, when we were already ready for a reserved restaurant visit, a staff member knocked on our door and informed us that we would have to change rooms the next morning. However, the next morning we already had a long-booked boat trip to the Aeolian Islands very early and could not possibly organize a room change before departure.
When my husband addressed this problem at the reception, unfortunately, no joint solution was sought. Instead, we were essentially told that we could have left the hotel upon arrival if we did not like the situation. We found this reaction to be very unprofessional and disrespectful. At no point did we receive an apology for the hotel's mistake.
Only later in the evening did the same staff member knock on our door again and explain that the problem had now been resolved and we could stay in our booked category after all. While we were relieved about this, we now had to pack our bags ourselves in the middle of the night and organize the room change because we had no time in the early morning. Our request for some assistance with the move was declined.
The entire incident overshadowed our evening and significantly affected our vacation.
Unfortunately, this impression continued throughout the rest of our stay. The atmosphere in the hotel felt cool and not very welcoming. A friendly reception or a greeting at the front desk was more the exception than the rule. Even at breakfast, we missed the hospitality that we expect from a hotel of this category. Additionally, we found an overflowing ashtray and an empty water bottle by the pool that had not been removed even the next day. The pool was also so warm that it hardly offered any refreshment.
It's a pity because the location of the hotel and the view are truly beautiful. With more professionalism, friendliness, and a respectful approach to the guests, our stay could have been very different.

Great Tropea hotel option if you have a car
We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of days at the Tenuta Tropeano. We had a car so it was a great advantage to stay five minutes outside of the historic center. The views were amazing. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The owners of the hotel take great care of their hotel and were very helpful. If we go again we would like to be able to stay longer in order to be able to take full advantage of all the hotel offers.
