Good location, excellent cuisine

3-star hotel in the central marina area, a bit dated but renovated.
We stayed for a few days on a half-board basis and found excellent Italian cuisine. The highlight of the hotel is, in our opinion, the cuisine. Very good, well-prepared, varied, buffet-style, with meat and fish dishes, and homemade pasta. The hotel is very close to the sea and offers a discount for the nearby beach club. The structure itself is a bit old, but it has been renovated. The rooms have air conditioning and the floors are served by an elevator. The brand-new mattresses were hard.
The hotel staff and the owners are very friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.

Horrible Action from the Manager

We visited this Hotel to have holiday , but it ended with a disgusting action. checking out , getting out of the lift our Bags hit a gate near the lift how the manager shouted on us with my kids 5yrs and 8yrs was so horrible. (because of our color ) It is a door not a person and there is nothing can’t be paid .. They caused my kids emotional trauma.. My son 5 yrs asked me why did she shout on us … that was horrible , i will not recommend this hotel,if you are going with kids . .. A single mother to experience that is horrible .. . Disgusting . There is many way to tell us that we should be careful and it was not intentionally . That bag was not a metal that could damage that …. Gate….. . But to shout on us is shameful. I will give zero percentage. … ,that was mean from the Manager . Even at breakfast we will be giving a place that was not clean and we were not allowed to sit where we want , i thought they had clean the other tables that is the reason we need to sit on where was not clean but later the other guest where allowed to choose where they want to sit . That was also bad from the staff . With kids as a mum you need to behave and take things cool . I have never feel so bad like how you people treated us .. Horrible ….. We were in 2 hotel before visiting the Alaska hotel to have sometime at the beach but ,never will i visit this Hotel.

Basic by Irish standards but staff are excellent

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights while attending a Taekwondo-do tournament. On arrival we were disappointed with the small room and bathroom. It's a 3-star hotel, but not by Irish standards, in fairness. Getting the AC switched on makes a big difference. Now, the good stuff: this is a family-run hotel, where the staff will do almost anything for you. When our event ran late, they kept the restaurant open for our party so we could eat. They are friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for luxury accommodations, then this hotel probably isn't for everyone. However, if you are looking for a base of operations, convenient and affordable, with helpful staff, then you can't go far wrong here.
