Very negative experience

I travel very often for work and usually stay in hotels. During my stay from May 19 to 22 at the Celicia Hotel in Rome, I had a very disappointing experience.
Upon my arrival, I presented my driver's license, unfortunately recently expired, having forgotten my ID card and passport at home. Despite explaining that my daughter could immediately send me a copy of my identification document, the manager, Mr. Antonello Greco, reacted aggressively and in very loud tones in front of other employees, leaving me deeply disappointed and uncomfortable.
The first room assigned to me, located on the ground floor, was very damp, with a strong smell of mold, and even the mattress was damp, causing me to spend a sleepless night. Fortunately, the next day Mr. Gaetano at the reception proved to be helpful and professional, managing to get me a room change.
The hotel is dated and needs more attention to cleanliness and maintenance. Regarding management, an improvement in communication and respect for customers would be truly desirable.

Awful - do not book!

DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel is awful.
We wanted to stay near the Appian Way, and booked one of the “best” rooms in the hotel.
We arrived in our room to find peeling wallpaper, cigarette butts on the balcony, holes that had been patched but not painted. The electricity did not work.
The walls behind the front desk are covered in stains, it’s in a sketchy part of town on a very busy street, and just outside the driveway there are big overflowing trash cans being sifted through by the homeless.
We left and went to a nicer hotel - we did not come to Rome to stay in this miserable dump. When we asked for a refund the front desk clerk said no, we should have given them time to fix the problems (clearly impossible) and that he didn’t care if we left a bad review.
The only good things I can say about this hotel are that it was reasonably close to the Appian Way and that the young woman who originally checked us in was pleasant.
This place sucks. Trust me and book somewhere else!

Too terrible for words

The hotel is dirty, dirty carpeting in the hallways and room poorly maintained and the cleaning crew does not come to your room every day to make or clean your bed. Been 2x in 5 days. The bathroom was even worse toilet seat was the low vd toilet off so unhygienic as anything. Following the pictures there would be a shower cabin nothing is less where the door was out of the cabin and there they had professorially hung a shower curtain. The plastic of the cabin was torn and smeared with brown glue, in short a horrible hotel.

For one night is fine!

Hotel neglected but "acceptable" value for money, also considered the area and the presence of parking (for a fee)
