Overall happy stay, except for construction work that starts at 7:15 am

only complaint is, construction was going on which woke us up at 7:15 am every morning (although they were not supposed to start until 8 am). If you are a early riser, this should be no problem but we reached hotel around 11:30 pm after all our tours and would have been nice to sleep in till 9:30/ 10 am.

1) This is not a typical hotel with front desk. It was hard to figure out how to get in as phone number on reservation did not work to reach hotel. Thanks to neighbor who pointed us to go to hotel del Corso (which operates as remote front desk for hotel)

2) Staff are friendly and helpful

3) clean rooms and functional A/C which helped traveling in heated summer

4) Bathroom could use additional rods to hang clothes/towels next to shower.

5) Great proximity to popular attractions such as Spanish steps, trevi fountain, close to metro and bus stops, restaurants.

Saved us in a pinch with a bad Air BnB.

Found this place next to our Air BnB which we needed more room for my husbands parents. They accommodated us a room for 2 nights at a low price. 96 Euros – in CASH per night. The room was small, good shower, and clean. Nothing fancy at all, just bare bones. The location was perfect to all the main Roman tourists spots.

Disappointment

Stayed 4 nights and this hotel was nothing like the pictures or what was described.
A room with no natural light, shabby small room with dirty walls and scratches on tv and long hairs on bedspread! Shower curtain was dirty and bathroom smelled like basement and at times u smelled the drains!
Also be aware the the walls are super thin. You hear everything going on in the rooms around and the hallway.
Best thing which made us stay was the central location and the to be fair it is located perfectly if u just wanna walk around to everything.
The daily cleaning was also nice and the cleaning ladies were very friendly.
Luckily we had nice weather so we stayed out all day and only used the room to sleep and shower.

Don’t waste your time or money - pics are deceiving!

Where to start? The only thing this place had going for it was location. Otherwise, the building was sketchy. Room was tiny. Bed was rock hard. Walls were paper thin. No outdoor windows... felt like we were in a closet. You could hear every toilet flush, the conversations thru the walls of other guests (both when in their rooms and in the hallways). WiFi didn’t work and bc we were tucked into the innerds of the building, no cell service either. VERY disappointing and felt extremely deceived by the pictures posted “portraying” the property. I’ve stayed at nicer and cheaper hostels. Also the directions on where to go to check in were extremely vague and when we called hotel for help they were rude and unhelpful... just say go to the Hotel del Corso because 79 Via del Corso on google maps brings you 6 blocks away from where check in is supposed to be so that was fun lugging all our bags from where our cab dropped us off at the opposite end of Via del Corso.

Mixed feelings

Coming from London - where hotel accommodation is shamefully awful - I was not expecting too much for such a central location in Rome.
However this place surprised me. I booked two rooms - a double and a twin - and my feelings are mixed. The twin (#509) is cramped and basic. The shower didn’t work very well for example. However my double room (#510) was luxurious. The shower was fantastic and the bed big and comfy. A sofa and small armchair was also in the spacious room. Safe boxes are standard in all rooms too.
As a frequent traveller to the US, my American cousins may not be very impressed with the lacklustre air conditioning. Especially in the hot summer months.
Nevertheless, I was very comfortable and the room service was spot on - efficient and unobtrusive.
The front desk service at Hotel del Corsa was great and Frederico was especially helpful in booking my taxi and settling my bill quickly.
The hotel bar looked nice but was not open very often so we never had the pleasure of using the rooftop terrace. Shame. As it would make a lot of money in my opinion.
Advice: the location is PERFECT. So choose here or look on Google or TA for other hotels nearby that maybe offering special deals. Class House is fine so come here and, if in a couple or as a DBSO, ask for room #510.
