A great experience and just what I expected
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, polite, and always happy to help, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. They wetr happy to help woth booking taxis which come withing a minute or two of booking them.
The location is excellent, right in the heart of historic Rome and within easy walking distance of many of the city’s main attractions, making it an ideal base for sightseeing.
Although the hotel is located within a larger building, it is well maintained and presented to a high standard. The air conditioning, together with the ceiling fan, was invaluable during the 39°C heat, keeping the room cool and comfortable. The traditional window shutters were another great feature, helping to keep the room cool while still allowing us to open the windows and enjoy watching the world go by.
Despite being in such a central location, the room was remarkably quiet. We didn’t hear any noise from neighbouring rooms or the street at night, and the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep.
Overall, this is an excellent hotel in a fantastic location with welcoming staff and comfortable accommodation. We would happily stay here again.

Rome was our first stop on a family trip through Europe with our two daughters, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay than Hotel Dorica. Its location in the Monti district provided easy walking access to many of Rome’s iconic historical sites, as well as wonderful cafés, restaurants, and shops. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating, helping us settle in after a long journey. Our family quad room was comfortable and provided enough space for the four of us and our luggage each night. We truly appreciated the hospitality and convenience, which made our first days in Italy both memorable and enjoyable. We would happily stay here again on a future visit to Rome.

All staff we encountered were professional, personable and efficient. The room was spacious and the bed and pillows comfortable. The shower was a bit small but didn't impede us. The hotel is located near shops and restaurants. There was a small restaurant just next door that we went to every morning for breakfast. We were able to walk to most of the historical sites we wanted to see. The longest walk was 20 minutes (we walk at a slower pace). The nearest Metro station is about 5 minutes away and we took that when visiting Vatican City. I would definitely stay here again.

Nicely located with restaurants and shops all close by, the Rome Termini Station is approximately 10 minutes walk and the local tourist sites can be easily reached by walking. The staff were all friendly and pleasant. Marco outlined everything on a local map on our arrival and we were asked if our stay was okay on departure. The rooms were cleaned each day. We didn’t require the air conditioning as the temperature wasn’t hot enough. We had two rooms on the fourth floor both overlooking the Ministry of the Interior which was a great view.
