Located in Rome, Hotel Galileo is just 250 metres from the Castro Pretorio Metro Station. It offers a bar, a furnished courtyard and a shared lounge. WiFi is free throughout.

Great basic hotel!!
Located around 10 minutes from Roma Termini, the hotel is the perfect location for ease of travel around Rome, if walking isn't your style.
The hotel itself is budget and basic, but they offer a clean room, with plenty of extras, there is extra pillows and blankets in the cupboard, coat hangers for clothing and the room also includes a mini fridge. The air con is included with the room and works well especially in the July heat, and ours even had a small balcony over looking the terrace.
There isn't much to do in the evening within the hotel, but Rome has so much to offer both nearby the hotel and beyond that honestly I'm not sure the hotel would benefit from it, your so busy exploring.
The breakfast looked lovely, we didn't eat so I can't comment on how it tasted, but there was plenty to choose from, bread, cheese, cold cuts of meat, pastries and yoghurt.
The staff were polite and helpful, the room was cleaned daily and nothing was too much trouble.
Overall I'd stay again, it's basic but it serves its purpose well.

Stay Away from Galileo
Booked 2 nights twin beds online got one and one half bed. Room smelled stuffy air conditioner was not working hardly at all. 36 degree weather Too hot to sleep. Bathroom no fan or ventilation so 20% hotter than the room.
Next morning I explain the situation to the clerk that we had not slept because air wasn't working and that we had decided to check out. No apology for the air not working properly. No refund for the second night which we were not going to stay Plus. The clerk asked for taxes, not only for the first night but for the second night that we were not even staying. He was very rude would not listen or did not express any empathy. Hotel is also too far away from downtown area where all the shops diners, etc. It would be 20 or 30 minute walk to the nicer areas and in the hot months and mid 30 temperatures it can be extremely uncomfortable. We ended up booking hotel Trecento a 10 minute taxi ride away. Beautiful area excellent service! Do yourself a favor, stay away from Galileo!!

Bad hotel
Room was very uncomfortable air con situated in wrong area of room one night water pump on roof broke down creating a banging noise for most of the night I complained to love holidays who said the hotel resolved the problem within 45 mins which is a lie the noise went on for over 5 hours

Friendly staff. 25 min walk to all major sightseeing attractions and spotlessly clean. Breakfast basic but lovely. Would stay again. Fab 3 star hotel x

Amazing hotel in a great location
Just back from a 3 night stay in this hotel in Rome! Hotel was higher than my expectations due to the 3 star rating & I was pleasantly surprised! Location was excellent & attractions were a good 20/30 min walking distance which in a city centre, is essential. Having previously stayed in Rome in a different & further out location, this location was fantastic! The rooms were spacious & we were very lucky to have been given a room on the same floor as the breakfast hall which offered us access to the patio area so we could sit out when we wanted. Bathroom facilities had everything you needed & the shower pressure was amazing! Air conditioning was a must in the 38 degree heat & allowed the room to be cool. Beds were comfy & the added use of fridge offered us places to keep our drinks cold. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Lots of restaurants nearby within walking distance & in particular a little pop up bar that offered reasonably priced drinks before evening meal.
As I’m wanting to return to Rome next year with my teenage daughter, this hotel is where I would stay again.
