Family of four (two teenagers) stayed for 4 nights. Great location two minutes from the Spanish Steps nestled among numerous restaurants (some are of excellent quality), ice cream places, pharmacy, gift shops, with easy access to taxis and Uber. Clean room and towels, professional and kind staff, amazing breakfast with an assortment of fresh filled croissants, yogurts, cold cuts with toast and more. A satisfying way to start the day well fueled for seeing the many tourist spots of Rome. Very grateful for an amazing stay. Thank you!

3 days in Rome

Very convenient hotel just a few meters from the Spanish Steps and the Spagna metro station. Hotel with retro decor. I booked a single room but with the option of having a French bed. To my surprise, on the day of arrival, they gave me a triple room! Comfortable bed equipped with a bathroom and air conditioning. The only downside was that there was a window that I could not cover with any curtain, and in the morning at dawn, the sun came in, not to mention that in the evening, there was a streetlight outside. Minimal breakfast but equipped with essential foods. Friendly staff!

Location - Location - Location

We spent 3 of our 14 nights in Italy here. This was our one wildcard hotel. I almost canceled the booking several times before we traveled but I’m glad I didn’t. It’s listed as a 2-star hotel on Google (that made me nervous and uneasy) yet it is clean, comfortable, and very close to everything in Rome. If you can get past the tiny entrance door that leads to a common hallway, that leads to a staircase, that leads two floors up to an indiscreet door, that leads to a living-room-sized “lobby” that doubles as a breakfast bar, you’ll be fine. The 4.3 to 4.7 traveler review ratings on this (and other booking websites) are legitimate. Location is everything in Rome and compared to other full-amenity hotels, this place is a bargain.
The people are wonderful, friendly, happy, and very welcoming. Our room was waaaay down a dark and narrow hallway but the room was clean, safe, and well maintained. Breakfast was minimal but just enough to get s going in the morning.
This hotel is only 2-3 blocks away from the Spanish Steps. For the price, the location is well worth some of the little inconveniences. Over 4 days and three nights, we walked everywhere except to the Vatican.

Friendly and clean hotel

The panda hotel is a clean and very well placed hotel as it is located in the heart of the center of Rome a few meters from the Spagna square. The value for money is excellent even if the bedding is uneven and the shower very small. Breakfast is minimalist but I have seen worse! The rooms are also well insulated no noise nuisance from the outside. The staff at the breakfast is very nice and caring!
When I booked this hotel I didn’t expect anything even to be a little disappointed. But in the end it was a nice surprise!

Location is ideal but grasp of service provision leaves quite a lot to be desired: managed to make me feel unwelcome.

My recent experience with Hotel Panda was poor. I booked a room for four nights as it instructed via the website. Two weeks prior to my date of arrival, it got in touch with me by email informing me that there was an issue with the debit card no. that I had provided. However, when I got in touch tonyhe day time receptionist subsequently, at no stage did she request an alternative card no. Infact, I was assured that I simply needed to turn up. When I arrived in Rome is when I discovered that an email was sent to me requesting all payment in advance. Needless to say, by the time that I arrived to the hotel, I was unempathetically given to understand that the hotel was fully booked. I say: what poor utilisation of queuing management theory - hopeless.
