Very good quality-practicality/price ratio

Excellent B&B, very well received and guided in advance via WhatsApp by Pompeo, very kind and explains well the check-in and the process to access the establishment, not having a reception. Very well located less than 1km walk from the center, the Colosseum, 15 minutes walk from the Trevia Fountain and radiating from the main tourist spots to visit in Rome, and located in a rather "well frequented and safe" street. In addition, the Metro station is just a stone's throw away and Termini Station is a 15-minute walk away. The rooms are decently spacious and clean, with a connected Samsung flat screen, a functional bathroom and rather comfortable bedding. The traffic is relatively noisy but we are in the center... Small minus, the breakfast (sweet) is composed of portions of cereals, rusks, brioches, orange juice and instant coffee/tea, in sachets, and to take with you in the room to eat (which has a small table). It's not a continental buffet breakfast but it's quick and does the job, and it's free (no extra charge). I recommend this establishment for its very good quality-practicality/price ratio!

Very dated and in need of refurbishment

The girl who checked us was very pleasant and helpful with lots of instructions. But from thereon it was not as good! Apartment was quite dirty and very dated with mismatching utensils and crockery thrown together. Everything had the appearance that it was just about to fall apart and there was not much space around the place for 5 of us. The computer for the internet was quite slow so having our own was quite handy! Gave up trying to find the TV stations as instructions were in Italian. The plus side is that it is very quiet as the unit is away from the main street and that was a big plus. Is a fair walk to the Metro and shops. If you are not too fussed about cleanliness and appearance then it would not be a huge problem.

I was scammed!

I was taken to a different apartment to the one on the internet which was of a much lower quality and when i complained that the televsion didn't work I was yelled at by the owner and told to leave. It was a very unpleasent experience, especially as I was travelling with a young child. I did decide to leave and then the owner charged the full amount of my stay to my debit card. We had to find new accomodation at short notice and now i will have to go through legal procedings to get my money back. is this what you want from your holiday??????

perfect apartment & loction if you aren't a fussy person

Located outside the walled area of Rome so from the airport you will pay a bit more for a taxi than 30 euros. We paid 36 from CIA Ciampino; friends paid 60 from FCO but they were ripped off. Shouldn't be paying more than 40 we were told.
We stayed at this self-catering apartment for 6 nights. Great sized two-bedroom apartment just right for 6 people.
Located conveniently between two train stations (Ostiense and Garbatella), not too many stops away from Termini. It took us 25 minutes to walk to the Ostiense station with all our luggage, but we did this to save on taxi fare.
We arrived at night thus giving a bad impression of the area as there was a lot of graffitied walls and rubbish on the ground, it didn't feel so safe for us at night but since we were in a large group we felt ok. In saying that the area seemed dangerous, the apartment itself felt very safe and overall great value for money. It was quite clean but there were no sheet changes or towel changes so for a stay any longer that might become more of an issue.
The free wireless internet was useful so bring along your laptop because the desktop computer was old and slow.
Just about 10 minute walk from the hotel is a really nice Chinese restaurant, across the road from Garbatella train station. Highly recommended, it was very busy on the Friday night and food is very cheap.

Good value

Agree with other review - THR was a spacious, reasonably clean and well located place to stay.
It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the metro & station which only take about 5 minutes to get you to anywhere a tourist might want to go.
The apartment we stayed in was accurately portrayed on the website & had free broadband access.
Agree about having no hot water but it only happened on the 1st day. As we quickly learnt to have a 2 minute shower.
Agree about Renato - he needs to learn to give people their personal space. I'm sure he meant well though! But once he left the apartment he didn't annoy us again the whole time we were there. So if you can handle a very detailed run down of an apartment that really isn't all that big then you should stay here but be prepared to have very short showers.
