As others have mentioned in previous reviews, this place was difficult to find. There were no signs with the hotel name anywhere and we had to ask a local store owner to help us. It was more of an Airbnb apt rather than a hotel, as it was located in a building. I appreciated the welcome snacks we had in our room when we checked in, but the “complimentary breakfast” we paid for was only a croissant and coffee. We were better off getting breakfast from an outside café. The WIFI was great. The bedroom and bathroom were clean. There was a fridge in the room and the TV had airplay, which we used to screen mirror from our phone. I was a bit disappointed that they couldn’t’ fulfill our anniversary request of a note wishing us a happy anniversary, but it was a decent stay overall.

I would repeat without hesitation. Private bathroom, TV and daily two croissants on the door, yogurts and juice in the fridge of the room and a kitchen on the same floor equipped with microwave and coffee maker where you could make yourself a coffee at any time. The room and bathroom very clean every day made us the room. And the perfect location, next to Termini, and relatively close to all tourist spots. Something wrong? The neighborhood around Termini is very dark and with pretty dirty and dark alleys, but that is not negative of the pension but of the neighborhood. Something to improve? The wifi.

Stay away!

This place was shady. Don’t believe the reviews. Stay AWAY! This is on the shady part of town. Not family friendly. If you’re in your 20s and just need a place to hang your hat than it’s fine. But definitely not family friends. It’s basically a hostel made out of what looks like an old office building.

Wonderful stay at Santamaria Inn! Excellent location, beautiful view of the streets and comfortable room. Rooms were clean, fully stocked with teas, yoghurt etc. the staff at reception were kind and helpful, as well as the cleaner who was very lovely. Only note: the walls are very thin and you can hear people in the next room, plus the doorwoman downstairs is not very nice. Other than that, great stay!!! We will definitely be back to stay here, when in Rome ☺️
