Sweet little stay, surpassed expectations

We stayed at Sweet Holidays in Rome for three nights last week and were not disappointed. It's not so much a hotel, rather an apartment/hotel which had 5 rooms of hotel standard.
We stayed in room 505 which was great. The room was clean and very comfortable with an en-suite bathroom which was perfectly adequate and the shower was very good. Towels were provided in a range of sizes which is always pleasing for me! There were some little unexpected extras which made it feel that little bit more such as an espresso coffee machine, coffee pods, a kettle and selection of teas, plus a cute little balcony which you could sit out on with a pleasant view.
Storage in the room was very good and the addition of a safe is always welcome. The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows available if needed.
The location is very good, just a few minutes walk from the termini (main train station) and about 10 minutes from some decent restaurants. All the tourist attractions are within walking distance.
We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and were glad to have been able to leave our luggage safely with them on our last day after check out as we had a late afternoon flight. They were also able to arrange for a car to collect us from the airport on arrival at a cost of 50 euros to drop us off outside the hotel. Given that two tickets for the express train to the airport on our last day cost 28 euros, we considered this to be good value. One thing to note is that there is not a 24 hour reception.
Overall we considered the cost represented good value for money.

They cancelled my booking at the last minute.

I booked a twin room weeks in advance and confirmed with them that there were 2 beds. Then the day before we were due to stay, they cancelled saying they no longer had a twin room for us. I had to book somewhere else in a panic.
Avoid booking with Sweet Holiday, they are unprofessional.

My stay at sweet holiday

Sweet holiday is not easy to find it took us very long time looking for it and when when we took tax we thought the tax had dropped us at the wrong place cause there was no sigh of a hotel. The outside is very rough but When we got in the environment was ok. This is cleanest hotel I have ever been to. It’s very small and it feels very homely. The staff was kind and polite. The breakfast was horrible so I never took it. If you are looking for a peaceful place near the center and train station this is the place to be. I feel that the price is too high though.

Worst 'HOTEL' ever!!!

To start off with the neighbourhood is amazingly UGLY and makes you feel home sick the second you arrive!!! The hotel says check in at 2.00pm we arrived there at 1.30 and found nobody!! We called the owner and it took him 1 hr 30 mins to arrive because he said that there was bad traffic but thats ok!! We cleared everything and he left.. at 8 in the evening we tried to have a shower but there was no hot water.. we called him again and he wanted us to touch the electric geazer ourselves (mind you we were 3 ladies) when we asked about the 24 hour service he told us that he was talking to us on the phone.. its true we did not need him to cradle us and sing us lullabies to sleep but we wanted him to fix the hot water immediately!! Apart from that there was no wifi at all and the tv not working!! It is for sure the worst hotel ever and i dont recommend anyone to step in there!!!! It made our stay a nightmare!! Dont go Dont go!!!!!

Owner is a liar and a crook. Place is hostel level living

Owner is a complete liar & crook. Place is horrible to boot. He billed our cr card 3 months prior to us showing up. Then we he finally showed up to let us in (horrible neighborhood), he wanted cash (in otherwords trying to swindle us and have us pay him twice). Then when we refused to stay there for the reasons below after seeing joint, he lied to the booking site and said we never showed up.
No place to wait as this is a private apt building. The facility is an apt that has been remodeled into 3 bedrooms, each ensuite. All share a hallway. Wifi terribly slow, TV connection not working, AC feeble.
Do not ever stay here
