Familiarity and bucolic welcome

An oasis in the countryside between Tuscany and Umbria, it looked just like a scenario out of a movie. Beautiful and spacious room, with ensuite bathroom, magnificent view: I slept well as at home! Very kind and familiar staff, it almost seemed to know them :)

Relaxing

Room clean and tidy, very nice place and surrounded by nature. Owners welcoming and helpful, they made us feel at home. Perfect place to relax, get together and get away from the hectic everyday life

Historical farmhouse, well maintained rooms and garden, welcoming host

A wonderful historical farmhouse. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well designed. The pool and garden area are beautiful and spacious. The perfect place to relax after a day full of activities or just a place to rest and read a book all day. The host was amazing. He made sure that guests are comfortable and get what they need. Restaurants and shops are in nearby villages. For guests who came in walking (Camino St Francis) the host will either drop you at a restaurant by car or lend you a bike.

Paradise on Earth

The thoughtfulness and attention to detail is apparent everywhere at Ca’ Matra: from the sensitive architectural refurbishment of this 13th century farmhouse, to the welcome at reception and the quality of the breakfast provided. This place is excellent value for money. Wish we could stay longer!!

Very nice - spacious and quality in so many ways

This holiday residence has the mark of its owners - architect and wife. They have created something special "in the middle of nowhere" (sorry owners ) - but well worth experiencing. You will not regret it
