A Gorgeous little Gem in a beautiful part of the world
What a beautiful little gem tucked away on the most beautiful coastline. Clean, spacious and close to local amenities. Lots of restaurants nearby. The host was lovely and met us on arrival she organised our transfers in and out.
The apartment we had was the Luna Nuova it was immaculately clean and spacious. We were a little disappointed at first as the second bed was a sofa bed but this was soon wiped away as I had a fabulous night's sleep! The bathroom was compact and again clean. There was a hob, kettle and fridge in the kitchen area, plenty of pots and pans, the only down side no wine glasses, only 2 mugs/cups (there was 3 of us staying) and limited cutlery, & no sharp knives.
Towels were provided as was a hairdryer. Tv complete with a fire stick -we couldn't access the firestick, we just wanted some music so a set of blue tooth speakers or radio would have be nice. But we were there to explore and this was a base to get wash, changed and sleep.
There was a little welcome booklet but felt this was a little too basic. We are a family who don't like to bother people so when we struggled how to use the electric hob, had it been in the welcome pack in order for it to work the pan or kettle needed to be on would of saved us some embarrassment . The host was lovely about it but we felt trivial also when checking out if the process had of been written down then we wouldn't have left with the wrong keys causing stress to us all. As we were along the far end of sorrento and the host out of town trying to arrange a solution. In a previous review someone said they were unable to close the very high window and had there been a troubleshooting section this could have been easily avoided as in order to close the window there is a switch next to the main light switch to open and close but it is not explained.
There is a small outdoor terrace area, we personally felt that this was an under utilised space and seemed like it was a work in progress. The tiled area next to the door entrances looked fairly new but the rest a little uncared for. Some plants and the concrete area jet washed could maybe be an idea or the future.
All in all if you are looking for a clean, comfortable space in the heart of the Sorrento area this is the place. It is a few minutes walk away from shops, bars and train station. There is a bus stop at the top of the lane. If you go right outside the courtyard and walk to the bottom and cross over the road there is the most beautiful area for watching magical sunrises and sunsets and a range of bars. El Ruttina is a must for a fantastic pizza, staff lovely and the limoncello spritz will not disappoint! If you take a left out of the courtyard and a right at the top of the lane it's about a 20-30 minute walk into sorrento.
Luna chiara is in a perfect location and we would recommend it 100% We will definitely be returning. Thank you for making our first trip to Sorrento a memorable one
