Romantic getaway

We spent a wonderful stay at the B&B La Rosa dei Venti. The property is delightful, extremely clean and maintained with great attention to detail, in a quiet but strategic location for exploring the island of Sant'Antioco and its stunning beaches.
The room was cozy, quiet, and equipped with all the necessary comforts. But the real strong point is the hospitality: the managers are exquisite, very kind, and full of thoughtfulness, capable of making you feel at home right away. They gave us valuable advice on what to visit and on the best restaurants where to enjoy the local cuisine.
We can't wait to return!

Do visit this place, it's really special :)

Having read the other reviews, there seems to be some confusion...this place is in the town of Sant'Antioco, on the island of Sant'Antioco. It is not close to Cagliari and it is certainly not in an industrial area, it's in a residential area. Actually this is a romantic little place, the owners (husband and wife) are incredibly nice and the overall experience was really really good.
We were allowed to choose our own rooms, as we were the first to arrive. They were very nice and clean. Breakfast was served on the terrasse, nice mix of pastry, cake and fruit...nothing too heavy, as it was on average 35 degrees. I would be very happy to stay there again and would recommend anyone to go there...enjoy your stay!

It's not in Cagliari!

The B&B itself is fine, with fairly pleasant staff and a big, clean room. However, it is not in Cagliari, where we thought we were staying, even the map shows it as being there - very misleading. Instead, the hotel is in a fairly small town about a ten minute drive from Cagliari. The beaches within walking distance were only accessible by a dirty path strewn with rubbish. There was nothing to do in the town itself. Quite disappointing overall. . . Wouldn't recommend.

Give this place a miss

Hi, I would like to add my pennie's worth since the reviews are so different in opinion.
This B&B looks very romantic and beautiful on the web site, but in reality it is based in an ugly industrial area. Although the house is reasonable the surrounding area has not much to offer - the town is really run-down and the beaches are small and far away. When we opened our windows, we were met by the screams of a baby - not so lovely when you're desperate to get some sleep. There seems to be alot of youngsters hanging around the neighbourhood late at night and we didn't feel safe in the evening walking from town.
The hosts could not speak a word of English, so conversation was a big effort and limited to basic words like 'breakfast' and 'passport'!
Also, quite a big deposit was required beforehand, which was suspect to begin with...
I agree with previous reviews - give this place a miss and rather head up north away from Sant'Antioco where there are much nicer places.

in town and close to industrial area

Keep in mind that this bed & breakfast is actually in a town, not on the countryside. It's in the middle of a residential area without a lot of atmosphere. There is a lot of construction going on around the house. The sea is close by, but there is an ugly industrial area, not very inviting. Nicer beaches are a 10 minute drive away.

Very good location
