Lovely resort with special mention to Alessio

Very nice stay at Jana e Sole Resort!
The animation team was great, with a special mention to the multilingual Alessio and his lovely smile, which made our vacation even better. We especially enjoyed his daily water polo games!
The only negative point is that the shows were only in Italian, so we couldn’t understand anything. Unfortunately, even the head of the animation team didn’t speak English, which made it difficult for international guests to enjoy the entertainment.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the resort!

Seriously consider elsewhere

I don’t think I’ve ever left a review before, but after the experience we had here, I feel compelled to share what quite possible was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at.
After a 2 hour long delay expecting to check in at 10pm and didn’t arrive until midnight, we were hoping for a quick and straightforward check-in. Unfortunately, this was far from the case.
It took almost 45 minutes to check us in. When we arrived, there was only one member of staff at reception, so we were left waiting as he was elsewhere helping other guests, leaving us waiting with nobody available to check us in.
Once we were finally checked in, the receptionist drove us to our room in a golf buggy. I’m not sure whether the property is difficult to navigate at night or whether he was unfamiliar with the resort, but he seemed to have no idea where our room was and drove around for what felt like ages. To make matters worse, he drove through the wet sprinklers multiple times. At one point, we actually got trapped between them, and we were sitting in the buggy getting absolutely soaked at 1am. I genuinely thought someone was going to appear with a camera and tell us we were being pranked…
By the time we eventually reached our room, we were freezing and completely soaked.
Unfortunately, things didn’t improve once we got into the room. There were ants throughout the room (which the maids NEVER mopped once they died which I find disgusting) the bedsheets were dirty, and the main shower head had so much mould on it that you wouldn’t want to stand underneath it. Also heard other visitors find ants crawling in their beds! In general, the rooms are desperately in need of an update, and the condition of them made the whole place feel very unhygienic.
The hygiene issues continued throughout our stay. You would expect the bedsheets to be changed at least once during a 7-day stay in a 30°C country, but ours were never changed.
My final rant will be about the ‘all-inclusive’ as it’s quite the opposite if you’re looking for a wider selection of drinks choices. We don’t drink much, and wanted to keep hydrated on water throughout our stay but you’ll have to make multiple trips for a small cup of water because they won’t give you a bottle unless you pay. The laughable part is the tiny cups are filled from the water bottle they want you to pay for!
The one and only positive I can give the hotel is the food. There was always plenty of choice, and it was definitely not your typical “chicken nuggets and chips” all-inclusive. However, if you or your children are particularly fussy eaters, you may find the selection less suitable.
One final tip: BRING CASH. All excursions and shuttles require cash. If you don’t have any, you’ll have a long, hot half-hour walk to the nearest ATM — which, unfortunately, didn’t even work when we got there anyway!

Low 3 star at best

Overall experience would be okay but nothing special. Rooms very small, choice of food quite often limited. Deliveries start every morning from 5.30am with constant beep beep reversing noises for well over an hour. Currently listening to the loudest lawn mower that started at 7.00am. Pool areas fine with plenty of beds. Staff very pleasant.
