This is a hidden gem. A car is essential as the hotel is in a very pretty but rural area with no other facilities. However the hotel is absolutely first class, the rooms are spacious, airy and well appointed. The hotel restaurant is brilliant with a great selection of local dishes and on Saturday and Sunday a quaint small bar at the front of the hotel where you can sit and watch the occasional cyclist or car go by. The owning family are so helpful and made us feel so welcome

Really top!!!

We chose this place because it is quite convenient compared to the different places to visit. We discovered a fantastic place, surrounded by greenery, with numerous paths a few meters away, to discover the Karst. And then, the Devetak family, sixth generation of managers, who pampered us throughout our stay: always very kind and helpful. The rooms are very spacious, simply furnished, with antique furniture, all wood including a beautiful parquet, in a very quiet area. Breakfast with very good local products, an omelette with herbs and cheese made at the moment, really delicious, and cozy.

A slightly isolated but characteristic location, don't let the road scare you. Helpful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Menu with traditional dishes, very good. Excellent "fettuccine alla marc" and roasted porcini mushrooms. Excellent value for money. TO TRY

Hospitable and comfy

Cozy family room with a really cool multi faceted shower with all sorts of extra features. The rooms are around a pretty courtyard where we had breakfast, right next to the restaurant. Could be perfectly quiet if it weren’t for the loud generator or aircon unit that comes on intermittently. So close your windows at night - the aircon in the room works well and is quiet. Location is a bit off the beaten track but we enjoyed exploring Grado and Gorizia from the Lokanda (by car)
