At the far side of the beautiful medieval hamlet of Sovana lies Sovana Hotel & Resort, a restored country house surrounded by Tuscan countryside, with its own wonderfully designed large park.

Corner of paradise
Perfect place to unplug and regenerate in a pleasant silence.
The Sovana hotel is an oasis of peace immersed in the Tuscan Maremma that offers beautiful views that will delight your eyes.
The view from room 207 is lost on an ancient stone dome surrounded by pines and olive trees that frame.
The rooms are cozy and clean
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
A charming fireplace in the living area of the structure delighted us with a warm warmth while sipping a fresh welcome wine.
Also excellent cuisine proposed by Chef Simone at the hotel restaurant ... the Taverna Etrusca... Personally I made the encore for the cheek prepared slow cooked and served with puree.
Even the wines on offer deserve a ten!
Mr. Luciano, owner of the resort, pampered us and advised us on everything... eating, drinking places in the surroundings to visit and fragments of history to remember regarding these beautiful places.
I highly recommend spending at least a couple of days in this corner of paradise in Tuscany.

Fabulous stay in a wonderful place!
Immensely grateful for the wonderful welcome in this fairytale place. Unique in the world, perfect in its way of offering comfort, peace and tranquility, beauty, art, history, culture and excellent Tuscan cuisine with extraordinary wine. We will return for sure to fully enjoy the beauty of Sovana.

Beautiful but in need of improvement
We stayed 2 nights in this structure, located in the village of Sovana, very close to the wonderful church. Nothing to object, about the beauty of the place, but perhaps, the whole structure needs to be adapted to the time we live. Too many important things are left to chance, such as wifi, always off for 2 days, breakfast not adequate to the standards of a 4 star hotel, the cleanliness of the beautiful pool is left a bit to chance, even the beautiful garden but is infested with mosquitoes and various insects, in my opinion should be done a weekly disfestation. The rooms, we had a well organized superior with ample space and comfortable beds. The hotel offers high standard bathroom products is sure a plus. In short, some things are to be reviewed, but the stay was pleasant, fortunately we did not have to work on the pc.

Bad experience, bad structure, bad behavior of the Hotel owner
From where to start, arrived in the parking lot outside the structure no sign indicating the direction to take to get to the entrance gate of the hotel, arrived in the structure the situation does not change as after parking the car there is no sign indicating the reception. Finally found the reception counter we were greeted by a nice and polite guy, who pointed out that the pool would be closed as every evening at 21 (when on the site of the structure it was reported that the pool would remain open 24h, one of the reasons why we had chosen to stay in this hotel) at 15:30 arrived at the pool (where there is a sign that says that the pool is open both day and night and that you can order drinks at the pool bar from 12 to 18 ) we found the bar closed, and to our great regret the pool water was cold (when on their website it is reported that the pool is heated ). After the disappointing experience in the pool we went to the room, where we found that the Wi-Fi was not working and not as reported on the website of the Hotel where they guaranteed the internet inside the rooms, in the room there was no telephone signal or 3G or 5G internet, in short we were isolated for any type of phone call. We pointed out the problem both at the reception and the owner, who were not able to solve the problem (also noted by the guy at the reception who with 2 phones had to admit that he did not have a signal either) or to provide us with another room where the Wi-Fi signal or the telephone signal worked and we were treated sufficiently by the owner who liquidated us with a : " If you want to go, go,” when he didn’t commit himself at all to trying to solve the problem. We found ourselves forced to leave the structure, as a 4-star hotel from 150 € per night, must offer the services reported at the time of booking. Leaving the structure we saw numerous messages from the owner, where he asked if we often behave in this way within the accommodation facilities. Finally, the owner has made us aware that we are no longer welcome in his facility in the future, on this you can rest assured that we will keep well away from it.

Bad experience strongly discourage.
After a very stressful period finally with my boyfriend we found 2 days off to enjoy some relaxation, we thought we would treat ourselves to a night in this 4-star hotel, which seemed really excellent. Let’s say that already on arrival we were puzzled because despite having been invited the location on whatsapp , the entrance to the parking lot of the structure was not marked , but we let it run , we arrive and we grope at the reception since again apart from a poor sign signaling the pool there is nothing that signals the reception . we are greeted by a very nice guy who checks us in , the room very cozy and clean , time to leave our luggage and we go to the pool , when after about 2 hours we go back to the room we realize that there is no telephone signal or Wi-Fi , this is a problem for us since for work needs we have to be available , we went to the reception to report the problem , the boy followed us and noticed that there was no phone signal and that the router near our room was not working, (and attention was not working either on my phone, or on my boyfriend’s or on the personal and business one of the guy at the reception, 4 different phones.) The only solution offered was to go upstairs in the meeting room or in the common areas, we ask for a change of room but also the second room proposed was located just above the first room had no telephone signal and the Wi-Fi was not going. At this point since we had no alternative we decided to leave the structure and look for another, all in a very calm and calm way on our part despite the problem was THEM, despite we had paid 150 € one night and there was no will to solve the problem. And so our quiet weekend was ruined. The owner dismissed us with a “if you want to go, go!” In a bad way, we paid what was owed for the pool and drinks and at the cash desk another character also thought it right to criticize our choice to leave the room just because there was no signal or Wi-Fi (which I repeat for us is a problem since we have to be on call and also since the reception at night closes and we would not have been contacted even by phone there).
After this experience that had already troubled us we found another structure in Pitigliano and after leaving the structure (where, among other things, the room was left immaculate because nothing had been touched) we receive messages via whatsapp from the owner where he accuses us of being smart guys who went there to use the pool and then run away. First I get a message saying “do you do this often?” And after a video where he shows his cell phone in our room where he plays a video as if to imply that his phone was going and where he accuses us of doing it on purpose and banishes us from the hotel.
After my answer I blocked the number.
In the video, among other things, perhaps the gentleman being from another generation did not notice the Wi-Fi signal is off, and the signal notches are at a minimum. So what about, thanks for ruining our weekend! But rest assured now we are in a structure in Pitigliano maybe I will send you the name and learn to do this job properly! Shame on you. Ah and remember occasionally to clean the pool that the floor in many places is green. Certainly never again.
