The Hotel Ciclamina was located in a v good place to explore Siracusa and Ortigia. It was also opposite a park and close to shops and a good supermarket. It was a delight to be collected from the station and brought to the hotel and similarly to be returned to the station at the end of the stay. The owner was extremely friendly, which made for a great start to the stay and he was happy to be contacted with any queries at any time.
The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean. Wi fi connection was very good. Access was secure.
I managed to leave some clothes in the wardrobe when I left (!). The owner contacted me to let me know and even checked out prices to send them back to the UK.
I felt well looked after and would certainly recommend the hotel. (Despite the unseasonal rain and Etna Eruption!!)

Terrible experience

Chinese-style B&B. Small room, old and worn furniture. Bathroom without a window, dirty… plastic shower that at one point starts playing music.
The photos do not do it justice.
Absolutely NOT recommended!

That's bad.

Old bathroom, peeling, blackened walls, bed resting on a creaky wooden base. Escaped after less than half an hour, losing even the amount already paid for the payment to leave. It's not even worth less than half of what's required

Nice place to stay

I stayed in this Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights in October during a road tour of Sicily with two childhood friends. We had three separate rooms each with all the amenities we needed; good bedding, a bathroom, television and free Wifi. The B&B is well located in a safe neighbourhood, with several places to have breakfast and quiet at night. The guy at the reception desk was very friendly. What more could you want ?
The only downside of our stay was that part of the roof of a private apartment on the upper floors of the building came down on several parked cars and our rental car was one of them. Fortunately no one got hurt. B&B Ciclamino was in no way to blame for the damage but it just goes to show that you have to be careful where you park your car !
