Beautiful address

Very well located in the heart of Ortigia. Beautiful junior suite with a loft bed. Shower with a hammam function (very effective!). A small desk is missing for working, otherwise it is good. It's a pity that the windows are frosted and therefore have no view of the outside while we are on the second floor. Good starred restaurant on the ground floor!

The hotel is well placed and look good but:
Hot water was not always available
The room was very humid, we had to clean all our clothes leaving the hotel
We had 5 cm. large cockroaches in the room. The staff did not seemed surprised and did not offer any reduction concerning these issues. We were pissed leaving the hotel.

Not a 5 star Hotel

Unfortunately, our experience at Palazzo Salamone was extremely disappointing.
The most serious problem was that our room had no usable hot water. The water was only lukewarm, making it impossible to take a comfortable shower. After I reported the problem, a maintenance employee came to our room and insisted the water was hot enough. It was not. The following day, staff acknowledged that there was indeed a problem and attempted to adjust it, but they were unable to fix it. While I was discussing the issue with the manager at the front desk, another couple reported the same problem. The manager simply shrugged, suggesting that this was not an isolated incident and that little was being done to resolve it.
The problem was never resolved during our five-night stay.
We reserved what was advertised as the hotel's best room. While it did include a pleasant outdoor terrace, the interior was disappointing. The bedroom was upstairs, while the first floor consisted mainly of a hallway with a tiny table and two chairs that barely fit the space. It did not resemble what we expected from the hotel's top accommodation.
To make matters worse, the advertised hot tub was not operational.
My wife and I spent 30 days traveling throughout Sicily, and this hotel was our final stop before returning home. I chose it because it advertised itself as a five-star hotel with excellent amenities, and I wanted our last week in Sicily to be memorable.
Based on our experience, Palazzo Salamone fell far short of the standards that most travelers would reasonably expect from a five-star property. I cannot recommend it, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Excellent all round. Small room but only one available reflecting this is a growing hotel offering.

Located on the edge of Ortigia but very close to the Duomo so that’s not an issue.
Michelin star restaurant on site and we tried it and whilst very expensive it was worth it.
Stayed in the only room available - a basic room which was a little small but very chic and modern. At a little over €200 a night it was well worth it. Breakfast for 2 was €40 and very good.
Only slight drawback is the public car park which was crowded and a long way away but that’s Ortigia for you.
The team were excellent is assisting us with a luggage drop off and pick up by contacting police and also helpful with a cancellation error.
I would stay again but not in the same room but rather their other suites which are more expensive but seem worth it.

Room was really big and clean. Location was excellent. Staff were not very friendly, they didn’t tell us that beach towels were available and were very annoyed when we took the hotel towels to the beach.
