Outstanding
We had our honeymoon here in 2001, came back for our 25th anniversary, and we weren't disappointed. Everything was just sublime, breakfast was just as we remembered it, we ate dinner here twice and both times it exceeded expectations. The new infinity pool was ideal for a cool off mid afternoon. The staff were all fantastic, but a special shout out to Max, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, he truly is an asset to the business.

Perfect in every way!
We came to Hotel Villa Ducale 25 years ago for our honeymoon, so decided to come back to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary especially as still run by the same family.
The hotel and it's staff couldn't be more welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and everyone looked after us so well!
Even before we arrived the reception staff were on hand to help with transfers and arrange trips.
A lovely addition to the hotel since our last visit is the infinity pool which like many parts of the hotel has amazing views!
Breakfast every day was exceptional and again the staff serving you were amazing with a special thanks you to Max who really looked after us every day!
We didn't want to leave and would definitely like to return again - sooner than 25 year time though!

Yes book this hotel.
Wow!! The view in this hotel!!! It was so very hot at the end of August this year. We spend a lot of time in the pool. Explored during the morning the pool felt fantastic on the afternoon. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast with Max is unforgettable. You feel at home. This place is TOP notch. Easy to 20 min walk to town. Hot but doable! Or they have a shuttle to the main town. There are also taxis. Easy to explore!

Fantastic hotel with very kind staff!
Fantastic experience! We had an extended stay at the Hotel Villa Ducale for our first time in Taormina and had a blast. The hotel itself is a beautiful boutique hotel with a great infinity pool, cocktail bar with creative well made drinks, fine dining restaurant and a beautiful sister hotel in town. Our room was well designed, luxurious and cleaned thoroughly every day including turn-down. The hotel staff in every way went above & beyond to meet every request. The entire front desk/concierge staff answered all our questions and set up many reservations for us. We tried our best to not be bothersome guests but despite our many requests the front desk remained helpful and friendly! Giuliana, Santina, Lorenza, Giuliano and Massimo were all so kind and helpful. They made us feel at home! The entire breakfast staff was wonderful as well very friendly and kind. The shuttle/pool staff were always willing to help and last but not least the staff at Incanto especially the Bartender, Hostess and Restaurant manager were extremely conversational and friendly. We loved the property and infinity pool. It created a relaxing escape away from the bustling city of Taormina. Unfortunately our flight was cancelled heading out due to the heat which required us to stay another two nights. I'd messaged the front desk and before leaving the airport we were already re-booked for two more nights in a beautiful suite, another nod to how helpful and flexible the staff was. We returned to the hotel and enjoyed the remainder of our time! Highly recommend this great boutique hotel to anyone interested in visiting Taormina, first timers and those who have visited before. Thank you Hotel Villa Ducale!

Most Romantic Hotels We Have Ever Stayed At
Our stay at Villa Ducale was simply unforgettable. The spectacular views over Taormina and the sea, the intimate atmosphere and the beautiful setting make this one of the most romantic hotels we have ever stayed at.
What makes Villa Ducale truly exceptional, however, is the service. From the moment we arrived, we experienced genuine Sicilian hospitality with an extraordinary level of personal attention. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
A very special mention must go to Max at breakfast. We travel extensively and have stayed at many wonderful hotels around the world, but Max is quite simply one of the best hospitality professionals we have ever encountered. His warmth, professionalism, attention to detail and ability to anticipate what you need are exceptional. He made every breakfast feel special and is an absolute credit to Villa Ducale.
Breakfast with those incredible views, combined with Max’s wonderful service, was one of the highlights of our stay.
Villa Ducale is a rare combination of romance, understated luxury and truly personal service. We left with wonderful memories and would return in a heartbeat.
