Perfect stay
We stayed for a week in this beautifully restored period property in the center of Taviano. All the rooms both external and internal are tastefully furnished. Room and bathroom large and equipped with every comfort. Particular attention to cleaning and guest care. Owners and staff attentive, welcoming and always available to provide the required information. The location is great for those who want to stay quiet and reach in a few minutes the most beautiful beaches of Salento. Experience to repeat.

A nice little oasis, a real hidden gem
This is a real hidden gem. Literally hidden. In a charming little town where you can see history on the buildings we arrived at the B&B and didn't know what to expect. A simple facade but which hid a lot more inside.
We arrived at 9pm after a long travel. They didn't feel us unwelcome so late, on the contrary, they came to open us, offered us refreshments and showed us around.
Our room was on the first floor with view of the inner courtyard which was great. I guess in the rooms on the ground floor you can hear the noise on the corridor and breakfast area. From this perspective, we had absolutely no problem, we were not disturbed by any noise. The room was fine. And in the evenings we sat outside our room enjoying the view of the neighbourhood with a glass of wine.
Once you are in the courtyard, you can really appreciate the history of the building, built as a traditional manor, almost like a Moroccan riyad to get the bright sun as much as possible. There is a small swimming pool, just enough to dip in case you don't want to go to the see.
We also appreciated the town of Taviano as a base to explore the region - the two coasts, the Grecía Salentina, the baroque town of Lecce, the lovely beaches... We loved the fact that we were away from the crowds of the seaside but still near.
Some more place we loved in Taviano:
* Casa Martino - ethnic cuisine in nice setting
* Le perle del gusto - small resto and traiteur for take-away in neighbouring Racale
We really liked staying here and hope to go back.

A little gem
A surprise in the heart of Taviano.
Attentive and helpful owner, unbeatable value for money -especially in this summer period where everyone seems crazy here in Salento-. New structure with well-kept interiors. Good breakfast with fresh fruit, small pastries, cold cuts and cheeses, Bari focaccia, cereals, jams and eggs on request.
Katia, the breakfast lady was a real treasure, as was Mino with whom we booked. I suggest to book directly in the structure without going through booking or similar.
We look forward to returning to try the small pool in the inner courtyard. Right at the back there is a convenient free parking. Less than a five-minute walk into the Old Town there are various dining options.

5 star experience!! Superlative!
Our holiday in Salento was wonderful thanks to the welcome we received at Palazzo Casto. Elegant room equipped with every comfort, you can see the attention to detail, we couldn't ask for anything better. Very friendly staff, always attentive to customer needs, both in terms of breakfast and room cleaning! Excellent cleaning (the lady tidied up our room impeccably).
We often took advantage of the hydromassage pool, everything was perfect.
The possibility of hanging out the costumes and towels, the quality of the hairdryer and the possibility of choosing between a hard or soft pillow were much appreciated - some of the small attentions that are striking, as it is not a given to find them in other structures (even hotels).
We felt at home, super recommended!!!

Magnificent experience
Wonderful building well furnished and with attention to detail, in the center of Taviano, a stone's throw from Gallipoli. Very kind and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts. Experience to be repeated, I recommend it to everyone.
