Beautiful property but poor management

In short: two days before the arrival date, the manager contacted me canceling the reservation to allow other guests, apparently particularly welcome, to extend their stay. I strongly advise against this property. For those who would like more details, I will explain exactly what happened. I had already stayed once at this property, booking through a platform, and I had a good experience. For this reason I had decided to return. This time, however, the manager insisted that I cancel the reservation made through the platform and pay him directly, so as to avoid the commissions and receive the payment more quickly. I accepted, but I never received the bank details or any other instructions to make the payment. After I followed up, I was told, verbatim: "Don't worry, the room is yours and it is already booked." I trusted them and, in hindsight, I was wrong. Just two days before the arrival date, he contacted me saying that some very dear guests had a problem and we had to stay a few more days in Termoli.
The proposed solution? Moving me to another property in Campomarino. At that point I asked why I should be the one to be transferred, instead of the other guests. As much as their problem could have been unexpected, in fact, they had no reason to have priority over an already agreed-upon booking. Furthermore, presumably, they could have accepted an alternative accommodation just to not remain without lodging.
The answer was that, not traveling by car, the manager would have had to pay them a transfer to Campomarino and that the solution did not seem convenient to him. Personally, I find it very likely that there was an error in the management of the bookings and that the manager tried to remedy it in the most convenient way for him. However, I cannot understand how a professional operator can manage such a situation, in defiance of the most elementary rules of the hotel industry. Extremely negative experience, both for the management of the booking and, above all, for the lack of fairness and attention towards the customer. I would not book again and I recommend carefully evaluating other properties.

I stayed at Corsica Rooms in Termoli from May 30th to June 2nd and had a very good experience. The structure is modern, clean, and welcoming, in a convenient location to reach the center and the sea. The room was comfortable, well-furnished, and equipped with all necessary amenities. I particularly appreciated the tranquility of the environment and the availability of the owners. Excellent value for money, absolutely recommended for anyone visiting Termoli.

Garmin navigation sent me to the wrong location but the support person was super swift in resonding and helping me out. Very clean and great location if you want to visit the old center.

I was pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of the room, the bathroom as well was very nice.
