A really good b&b

I was in Troina for family reasons and stayed at this b&b for a whole week.
What about, an oasis of peace and tranquility.
My room had an extraordinary view. Having also the kitchen, I had the chance to cook myself lunch and dinner.
I spent very little compared to the quality of the b & b.
In addition, the manager of the b & b is really courteous and professional. Always ready to solve any problem that may occur during your stay.
If I return to Troina, I will choose this b & b again, really unique.

Everything is perfect about it.

Gaetano is the most charming, helpful host we have ever met. We had an urgent problem that needed to be solved (not referring to the room) and Gaetano was there with his cheerful and friendly character to set everything right. The room is just splendid. It has a smart TV
including Netflix. A well equipped kitchenette and bathroom and the most awesome view one could wish for. Highly recommended. Grazie di cuore Gaetano!

Room with a View

Troina is a fascinating old town rich in Norman and WWII history with a killer view of Etna from the main piazza. Down about 60 steps from the piazza is the wonderful and economic B&B Al Centro Storico Troina. I was expecting a room but instead got an entire apartment: a charming, fully-equipped kitchen upstairs with a bedroom and bath downstairs. I was thrilled to be able to spread out and work on the two tables in the kitchen. Watching the sun set over Etna in the evening from the kitchen window is pure magic. The owner, Beatrice, was out of town, but she had a friend come and guide me to the B&B. He also helped me carry my luggage (try to travel light!). Since I arrived in town on a holiday, everything in the old town was closed except one restaurant--so I'm not sure if there's even a mini-market in the old town. I'd advise that you bring eggs, veggies, fruit to cook yourself breakfast and/or a light dinner, though Beatrice provides a breakfast coupon for coffee and pastry to be used in any local bar. (I left town early and no coffee bars were open in the old town, so I stopped in the new town and used the coupon with no problem.) As far as I know, there's no wifi at the B&B. Driving in the old town is near impossible. I was able to park right in the main square because it was a holiday, but my guess is that on other days you'll have to park down in the new town and Beatrice will come get you. In early May, the house was initially cold--like all stone houses in Sicily--but Beatrice has wall heaters as well as space heaters that warm the place up fast. I've stayed all over Sicily and this was one of the best deals ever in terms of value!!!

Troina paese da favola

È stata un'esperienza assolutamente da ripetere. Accolti con il calore tipicamente siciliano, che Gaetano ( il proprietario) incarna alla perfezione, coccolandoti e dispensando consigli utili per godere di un soggiorno davvero indimenticabile. Un luogo da favola, tra vicoli e casette in pietra perfettamente conservati per un tuffo nella memoria. Per chi ha voglia di cultura, di escursioni all'aria aperta, di buon cibo o semplicemente respirare un atmosfera che ti riporta indietro nel tempo, Troina è la meta ideale.
