Great hotel with wonderful location
Excellent hotel with great location! Good restaurant, had half board where breakfast and 2-course dinner were included. Private path down to the sea and several beaches. Good pool. The room was well cleaned, but unfortunately the bed was very hard and lacked a mattress topper. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close to Tropeas promenade with various small shops and restaurants.

My idea is that it doesn't take much to cook well. You just need to use quality ingredients, like the money you take.
I am staying here at the moment. The room is fine, even though there are a few flights of stairs to get to it, including the path down to the sea; the room cleanliness is also good, and we liked the location as well. Bad, or rather, very bad regarding the food.
We chose half board, but it turned into a quarter board. No fruit, no dessert, and to top it off, not even a coffee or digestif.
As for the food, it is of terrible quality, with complaints reported by many guests. A topic of discussion under the beach umbrella in the morning. I am trying to speak with the manager, but unfortunately, the reception told me it is impossible. They recently changed the cook because the previous one had to leave, and they had difficulty finding a new one, but with very poor results.

Signor Giovanni, dal titolo ha detto bene, "la sua idea di cucinare bene". infatti è la sua. Com' è sempre il suo pensiero l'idea che i prodotti siano di bassa qualità. é stato invitato a visionare la fattura dei nostri prodotti ma non è venuto in ufficio. Il direttore ha cenato con lei, come da sua richiesta, e proprio quella sera ha mangiato bene, un caso? coincidenze? . Inoltre le lamentele non venivano da tanti altri clienti ma da una sola camera, i vostri vicini di ombrellone, che invece di godere delle acque cristalline di Tropea avete aperto un dibattitto, sulla base di cosa? Sulla base del io penso, io mi lamento. Sarebbe meglio non esprimere sempre quello che si pensa se non si è al corrente di tutto, la questione cuoco ad esempio, è un pettegolezzo tra vicini di ombrellone. Nessun della direzione ha parlato di problematiche o meno interne dell'hotel. Si goda i pochi giorni di vacanza che le rimangono, faccio un reset mentale e si rilassi e provi per un giorno a non pensare a niente. Si sentirà sicuramente meglio, questo vale in vacanza come nella vita. Le auguro una splendida giornata.

Horrible
A terrible experience, I wouldn't wish it even on my worst enemy. Upon our arrival, we were assigned room 205, which does not fully conform to the images on the property's official website and had a rusty room handle, broken doors, and a shower with limescale (I am attaching photos); furthermore, it was not cleaned excellently, something I had taken for granted since I was with a baby, for example, a closet with handprints and cobwebs scattered about.
Wanting to overlook this, the site states that to get to the beach there are stairs to climb, but not to reach the room, to reach the restaurant or just the reception. So I find myself with a newborn, and consequently with a stroller, constantly climbing stairs. Furthermore, the site mentions free outdoor parking, but in reality, you park on the street if you find a spot. If I had known that the situation was like this, the choice would certainly not have fallen on this property.
Pointing everything out to the reception and asking how they usually behave in the case of a person with a disability, the answer was "The disability is reported and we point out the problem," so why wasn't the same done when the reservation included a newborn and therefore a stroller? In fact, by phone before the booking, we were told that the descent to the beach was doable with a stroller, which is impossible; in any case, they were unable to give me any answer or at least meet us halfway in some way to alleviate this inconvenience, which was not minor.
Only one afternoon did they accompany us to the beach, but pointing out that this was a service they could not guarantee, so I risked being stuck on the beach with a newborn.
I have never wished for a vacation to pass quickly, it was a NIGHTMARE!
In the meantime, I am attaching photos.

Signora Anna, ci dispiace profondamente se ha avuto una pessima esperienza però questo non dipende dalla struttura. In nessun sito è riportato la presenza di ascensori anzi il contrario. anche telefonicamente non omettiamo la questione delle scale. Molto clienti che lamentano impossibilità di movimenti consigliamo un altro Hotel rispetto al nostro. Consigliamo Hotel che si trovano giù al mare. Tropea è così, in qualsiasi Hotel in città per raggiungere il mare avrebbe dovuto o fare le scale oppure prendere la macchina. Per gentilezza un giorno è stata accompagnata in spiaggia ma non garantiamo un servizio che non offriamo.( NB: avevate la macchina) Le scale sono fattibili, molti clienti con passeggini ci vanno. In base alla esperienze passate è normale che le dico che è fattibile. Il fatto di avere un bambino così piccolo per noi non è limitante in nessun caso, credo che i limiti se li è posti lei. Andare in vacanza con bambini non è sempre facile da parte dei genitori, capisco la sua frustrazione in merito, motivo per cui abbiamo cercato di venirle incontro sempre nei limiti del possibile. Per quanto riguarda la pulizia le recensioni parlano chiaro, le camere sono pulite , se fa una foto dell'armadio mentre si nota chiaramente che la camera è in utilizzo( da notare i vestiti a fianco) , fosse stata sporca fin da subito prima di mettervi comodi avrebbe preteso la pulizia. Ad ogni modo le donne hanno provveduto nonostante avessero già pulito. La foto sul sito è veritiera , ci sono letti con quel tipo di testata e letti come il suo, quindi? non capisco il senso, questo dovrebbe comprovare che non sono vere le foto ?

Great place, friendly staff
We stayed at this hotel for one week. The location is amazing. The view is priceless. We stayed in the family suites which had two bedrooms, a bathroom and terrace. We had three rooms connected to each other. The rooms were spacious and clean. Ours was missing a safe and although we they said it would be fixed, it never happened. The staff at the restaurant are amazing!!! Big shout out to Domenico who went above and beyond ! Always friendly and made us feel welcome every night. My only complaint was that they don’t like to give you towels! They are very stingy on them!
