Expensive.

Well-maintained venue, very popular, in a strategic location, just steps from St. James. The aperitif was good, although the prices are quite a bit higher compared to nearby places. It is very annoying to always have to get up to get food and drinks because there is no table service.

A tasty snack with friends

We had lunch at Osteria Al Cappello in Udine and the experience was really pleasant.
We started with an excellent platter of ham, of excellent quality and well presented. I chose a salad with pok, fresh and very balanced in flavor, while the other diners ordered rabbit, which they found very well cooked and tasty.
The atmosphere is welcoming and the service friendly, elements that make lunch even more enjoyable. An inn that manages to combine simplicity and quality: certainly an address to keep in mind for those passing by Udine.

Sloppy and unprofessional

Bad experience. I usually refrain from making negative reviews, but this time the arrogance of the banker as well as the unprofessionalism cannot be overlooked. I need a Franciacorta Brut, among other things in a red glass, practically 'dead' without minimal perlage; on the palate it has marsalate notes, clear sign of oxidation. I kindly point this out to the banker, who, annoyed, replies and disputes. I ask to change it, still availability nothing, seasoned with a sound pig. I can't believe my ears. Does a historic place in Udine deserve this squalor?

Hats off to you

Small very quaint place in the center of Udine. The name is given by the hats of all kinds that adorn the ceiling; very nice even the lamps, different on each table and original. Friendly staff, even in crowded conditions (the room is just small). Wide selection of wines, menu not extensive but appreciable, and that varies. Of course also Friulian specialties, fig, musetto.... and more basic things like lasagnatta with meat sauce or gratin post. To try.
