A fantastic bed and breakfast

I can highly recommend Antico Portego for those visiting Venice. A completely wonderful accommodation and staff.
We stayed in a very nice room, it was clean and fresh. A + drink from the mini-bar was included!
The accommodation is perfectly located along a super cozy street full of life. It is both close to the train station and has easy connections with the boat buses around other parts of the island.
10/10!

its not a hotel its an small apartment with no one to take proper care of the minimal needs. the place its nice, clean and new but pricy and inconvenient. they didn't respect the type of room we booked, they couldn't make our key work to get in (so we had to call them everytime we wanted to come in) it was not a good hotel experience. although the bed its nice and they take care of some details like tea, coffe and good linen.

The location was great, we took the Alilaguna to Guglie and the walk to the hotel, even with bags, was a breeze. The buzzer at the door isn’t super clear that it’s for Antigo Portego but we buzzed the top button and we got connected and allowed in without issue. Samantha was communicative and met us in the entry then directed us to our room. There are not a ton of extras at this hotel but we were out and about all day so the room just needed to be clean, comfortable, and quiet — which it absolutely was. Would recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Felt like everywhere in Venice was very close and walkable and I would say it took us about 15/20 min to get to the Rialto Bridge and Market and maybe another 10 minutes to get to the Basilica area from the hotel so things felt close but we weren’t in the thick of it when we wanted to come home.

Samantha was super helpful, and spoke excellent English. The only thing that was a little odd, was that I had to make a payment in advance, outside of the Hotels.com website, even though I had picked a pay later booking

Thank you for a lovely stay!
We had a great time in Venice staying at Antico Portego.
Location was great as we wanted to be close to public transport, bars and shops- but didnt want to stay in the very crowded centre around Rialto and Piazza san Marco.
Very nice and clean room, it seemed like this was recently renovated.
We had trouble finding information and personel to help us when checking in, but eventually we found a number to call and the kindest lady welcomed us. :)
