Great hotel in the real Venice

She stayed at the Leone Hotel on her last trip to Venice - and never regretted it. The hotel is small, cozy, with modern renovation and very pleasant atmosphere .
️ Convenient location
The location, in my opinion, is perfect. The hotel is located in the Cannaregio area, only 6–7 minutes’ walk from Santa Lucia Train Station . Only one bridge had to cross. The hotel has a vaporetto (water tram) stop right by the hotel, which provides easy access to the airport, Murano or anywhere else in the city. Very comfortable!
‍ Excellent staff
The staff here is really attentive and friendly. The reception speaks English, everything was explained in detail at check-in. All requests were well received – it feels like the employees care about the guests.
Authenticity of the area
And a separate pleasure is the Cannaregio area itself. This is real, living Venice. Near the hotel there is a fish market in the morning, local restaurants and cafes where Venetians themselves dine. Near the entrance to the ghetto, convenient for those who have planned a tour of the living area)
Impression in general
The room was small, but very clean and cozy. Enjoyed the teapot and the capsule coffee machine in the room. By the way, the reception is open 24 hours a day!
In general, it's a great option for those who want a lively rather than "combed" experience of Venice. I would love to come back here.

We stayed at this small hotel for the first time and will definitely come back. Reception in advance for inquiries by mail easy to reach and very helpful on site. Location close to the train station. Vaporetto feeder very close. A great trattoria bar Pontini right next door. More Bar Alle Guglie Cicchetteria on the corner with great breakfast. Room very clean.

Three special days!

Friendly staff and helpful with advice (thanks to Nicolò for directing us to two great restaurants).. Clean hotel and a perfect location! Close to the station and 15 minutes from St Mark's Square. The view from the room really special!!! 202 highly recommended! Nearby Bacari where you can make excellent aperitifs and excellent restaurants where you eat dishes with fresh fish spending the right amount!

Ideal location for exploring

We stayed in this hotel room only for four nights as a couple at the end of July 2025.
The hotel is ideally situated for the Guglie stop serviced by the Alilaguna Water Bus from Marco Polo airport.
The hotel and room were basic – but suited our needs for a City Break. We were in room 218 at the top of the stairs – small room but adequate.
Short walk from Ferrovia AVM water bus stop that goes straight to San Marco Square. We preferred to walk, it took us about 30 minutes to get to the centre of things.
We much prefered the area the hotel was in – quieter with cafes and restraunts nearby where you can sit outside and watch the people.
Hotel provided a good base for visiting the Old Town and getting to Murano/Burano by boat.
We recommend Trattoria Bar Pontini; Pan e Ogio and Very Good eateries located in the same street as the hotel.

First time in Venice

This is a very clean boutique hotel conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the train terminal and close to water bus. Nico, our front desk attendant, was the best and extremely helpful with checking in and out and as well as giving us recommendations on places to eat. Thanks again Nico for making our stay wonderful.
