Charming & Private hotel

What a wonderful stay at this charming, renovated and very spacious hotel property.
The room was large & clean unlike European hotels.
Complementary mini-bar & in-room coffee.
Located just steps from water taxi.
(From VCE TAKE PIER 12A -€18 ppl and exit maybe 50 feet away from front door.
Felt like a private apartment in the heart of Venice.

If you want a peaceful holiday avoid this “hotel”

No proper receptionist to greet you. You will have to wait 30 minutes for someone to come over to take you to a tiny shoe cupboard to check you in. They also don’t notify you that the door locks at a certain time and they didn’t advise us how to actually get in. We were stuck outside at nighttime with no idea how to get back into the “hotel”.
We booked the Penthouse Deluxe, however we were assigned a room on the second floor (clearly not penthouse) after enquiring about this we were told it was an upgrade as the room on the second floor “had more light”. I find this terrible as we weren’t even advised at the time of checking in that this was an upgrade and how a room on level 2 is an upgrade from a penthouse is beyond me. They clearly overbooked.
Bathroom has mould everywhere. Not an ideal situation as my husband suffers with asthma. Why anyone would put wallpaper in a shower is beyond me!
However our real problem began on Saturday night at 1am. As we were sleeping we heard extremely loud techno music blasting from the room below. It sounded like a party going on with lots of people. I wasn’t aware this is basically like an AirBnB. Contacted the owner and they advised that the guests would turn the music down. They did for a short while and then it started again going until 5am. Not ideal when you have a flight to catch the next day. I contacted reception numerous times. I asked if I could come down to speak to someone but ignored again. Messages were being read on WhatsApp and not responded to. See attached screenshots. Attached Apple Watch sleep score to show how bad this was.
It’s clear the hotel staff do not care about the antisocial behaviour from other guests, nor do they care how this impacts the other paying customers. A proper hotel would have dealt with this appropriately.
On checkout we asked to speak to a manger and were refused after explaining the situation we were offered no apology from the rude reception staff. Refused to let us speak with a manger nor could he do anything for us. He gave me a contact card and sat silently hoping we would leave. As we left I heard him on the phone and minutes later the manager whatsapped me excuse after excuse. As you will see from the reviews and responses on Google review from the manager they like to place blame back on the guests instead of taking responsibility.
Don’t give yourself the headache. GO ELSEWHERE!

Evreything just perfect!

We stayed in room 3 of the Palazzo annex from May 26th to 30th. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room is beautiful, modern, quiet, clean, and very well-equipped. We would especially like to highlight the excellent room service, which we greatly appreciated. The Palazzo offers no restaurant or brekfast. But he complimentary fully stocked minibar is a fantastic touch that we very much welcomed. The staff is very friendly and responsive. Many of the city's attractions are easily accessible on foot. The vaporetto stop is just a few meters away.

Great location, lovely room

Just returned from a 4 night stay at this property. Location is perfect, 10 minutes walk to St Mark's Square, but set back from the hustle and bustle, so quiet at night. Nearest Alilaguna & Vaporetto stop is only 2 minutes away. Don't let the tired looking outside of the building put you off, inside it is gorgeous. We had room 303, a mezzanine studio which was roomy enough for 3 of us. The beds were comfy and the complimentary mini bar was a nice touch. The guy on check-in was helpful and friendly, and the owner (with her lovely little dog) always said hello in the morning. We would have no quarms about staying again should we return to Venice.

Room was gorgeous, had everything we could possibly need even a great umbrella that we borrow on a rainy day. The room was brilliantly decorated and really spacious, bathroom was brilliant and the balcony was lovely to have. The location was also great, I would recommend it to anyone.
