A convenient place to stay, good for families
I stayed at San Marco Palace for three nights. I booked two rooms, one for my mother and one for my husband and I. The rooms were very spacious and my mother's room had a veranda which was useful to hang the laundry. The location was good, on the vicinity of San Marco Square.
However, the shower was not good. It may have been due to old water pipes or a Venetian matter but the flow of water was not good at all. Hot water was not consistent, on the first night my husband came out from the shower saying there was hardly any hot water. The amenities provided were the bare minimum, hand soap for everything, no shampoo and conditioner. This should be changed. Please provide hair shampoo and conditioner, and body wash.
My mother's had a bath tub but no plug.
The blanket was too thin, just a sheet.
The hotel staffs were helpful but could be improved.

Terrible
We had to put our luggage in an unlocked room we couldn’t check in until 3pm. I didn’t really want to leave our luggage unprotected. Well our back pack was stolen with all our medication. The staff was not helpful at all. The bed was like a rock the sheets felt like cardboard. We thought there was 2bathrooms but only one with a family of 5. We needed a porter to get to the dock but our flight was early so it cost us 70.00 instead of 35.00. A real ripoff.our buggy problem was losing our medication . No security at all. Do they know if you can’t get in your room until 3 they should have a locked room. It was a real damper to our vacation. Thank hod we only stayed one night. Very unfriendly non accommodating hotel.

Very bad hotel
The worst hotel we have had in a long time.
The one-way canal stinks, so you cannot open any windows.
In the bathroom, all the fixtures were rusted and dirty.
Breakfast was a disgrace for the price.
The arrogant girls at the reception should take a course in friendliness.
Never staying here again.

Fatal error. Not recommended.
Completely disappointing. Rude reception. Suite costing 450 euros per night, 70s style, shabby furniture, minibar with 2 bottles of water, mini kitchen without even a single utensil, semi-broken sofa bed, shameful. We are in Venice a couple of times a year, we decided at the last minute. Fatal error. Highly discouraged.

Avoid this unless there is absolutely no other good option available. There was no iron, bedsheets sofa was really bad and I was worried if there are bed bugs or hygienic. Hotel staff are rude. Hair dryer is a joke! Location only is perfect ! That’s the only good thing about this hotel.
