City break stay
We stayed here when we went to the Roman amphitheatre. Its about 15 minutes walk from the rail station & 40 minutes walk to the historic centre. The hotel was clean, the room cool & comfy and the shower is excellent. We loved the fresh bread & pastries at breakfast, as well as all the fruit & cooked options. Staff were all helpful too. Very good place to stay.

We are enough close to Verona Porta Nuova train station to enjoy its benefits, but at the same time we are far enough away not to suffer from its defects (bad company, noise, confusion). Similarly, we are close to the main roads, but our hotel is located on a secondary road, in a residential neighborhood and with a large park behind it: ideal for avoiding noise.
Being just outside the ancient walls of the centre of town involves for our guests additional benefits: free parking spots outside the Hotel and, of course, lover price!

Hotel is suitable for a 'cheaper' getaway
5 min walk from the train station so after getting the 199 Bus from the airport was handy. Had a double room which was big, had tea facilities... only criticism of the facilities, i would have expected a coffee machine and pods instead of a kettle.. i wouldn't expect unstant coffee in Italy. Room served its purpose, we were out for most of the day. Couldn't get the aircon working and the hubby got bit by a mosquito, reception gave us a repellent machine which was a 10 euro deposit. All staff we encountered were lovely. The cleaners dont seem to stop. Id recommended getting to breakfast early, from 9 am nothing was topped up.... also cant take bits for a snack later. 20 min walk into the centre on verona. Found some amazing restaurants on the way.

We believe this is important to clarify so that future guests have an accurate understanding of the seasonality of our services.
In-room facilities: In a 3-star hotel, providing a kettle with a selection of tea and coffee is the standard. Coffee pod machines are typically found in higher category hotels or in structures that do not offer a breakfast service; in our case, we prefer to focus on the variety provided during the morning.
Breakfast Service: Our buffet is open from 6:30 am to 10:00 am and is constantly replenished by our staff until closing time. We do, however, agree with your suggestion: arriving early for breakfast is an excellent idea for those who wish to enjoy their meal in total tranquility, avoiding peak hours.

Excellent value for money with great staff
This is a well kept and clean hotel that provides great value for money in Verona.
Our air-conditioned room (401) was modern / utilitarian in design but provided all we needed for a quiet and comfortable stay over 3 nights.
The bathroom was clean and freshened daily and the shower (most important to us) was large and with a plentiful supply of hot water.
Kettle and hair dryer both provided in the room together with an empty but working mini-bar fridge.
Without exception the staff were helpful and attentive and the reception staff spoke pretty good English (far better than my Italian).
They provided details of local eating places and booked a taxi for us that turned up within a few minutes of asking.
A special mention must go to Michael on reception though for his knowledge and willingness to make our stay a success.
Breakfast was of a comprehensive continental style but with plentiful, good quality items that were regularly topped up throughout the session.
We were travelling independently by public transport so the hotel’s location near, but not too close to, the Porta Nuova train and bus stations was ideal. It took about 10 minutes for us to get there dragging small suitcases - we walk slowly!
There was little noise considering the hotel’s proximity to some major roads (& current roadworks).
It took us about the ‘advertised ‘ 18-20 minutes to walk directly into the old town at Castelvecchio via Porta Palio and on the one occasion we took a taxi it cost us just under €10 for the same trip.
Would definitely recommend looking at this hotel if you’re not wanting to spend the mega-bucks asked for by the hotels in the old town. We found it very good value for money and would certainly consider staying here again in Verona.
