Good hotel, good room, good breakfast, nice staff.

Large, clean double room with bathroom, air conditioning. Water dispenser in the hallway (free). Bicycles can be securely stored for free in a room of the underground garage. The underground garage costs €10 per day for cars. Good breakfast buffet. Nice, helpful staff.

Do not book here

This hotel was supposed to be a 4-star hotel, keep you away from mold, all scattered, beds ruined, dirty, all scattered. More scenery is about to fall through the floors we fled there after one night. Along with several guests who also found it disgusting

Clean rooms, but breakfast needs improvement

Pros: Cleanliness, Great Reception Staff, Working AC & Fridge
Cons: Poor Breakfast Service
Hotel Maxim is decorated in a classic, traditional style. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed, including a fully functional air conditioner and a working refrigerator.
The main downside of our stay was the breakfast. It was very weak, mostly due to a severe shortage of staff overseeing the dining area. Key food items were constantly missing, and the coffee machine was frequently out of service.
However, the highlight of our stay was Shenal from the reception team. He deserves special recognition! Shenal was extremely patient, super helpful, and always ready to answer any questions we had. His energetic and positive personality really brightened our trip.

The bridge is better.

Upon entering, it seemed welcoming. When I arrived in the room with my friends, I immediately noticed it was extremely hot, and the TV channels did not work well. When dinner time came, I preferred to go to the kebab shop; the only good thing was the water. The beds felt like tiles, and the hairdryer looked like an alien machine. Upon arriving in the morning, I went to eat, and the desserts were decent. I would not return, and I was even kind enough to give three stars.

An absolute nightmare from start to finish – dirty, poorly maintained, uncomfortable, and completely unworthy

Our stay at Hotel Maxim in Verona was an absolute nightmare!!! and far below the standards you would expect from a hotel advertised as a four-star property.
We arrived late in the evening after a long journey, hoping for a quick check-in and some rest. To our surprise, one of our rooms was still not ready. We had to wait an additional 40 minutes before we could finally access it. After an exhausting day this was extremely frustrating and highly unprofessional.
The hotel itself feels neglected and outdated. The rooms are old, the furnishings are worn out, and the overall cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. There is a clear lack of maintenance and attention to detail throughout the property. Some areas look as if they have not been renovated for decades.
The biggest disappointment, however, was the mattresses. They were extremely uncomfortable, worn out, and provided very poor sleep quality. Instead of feeling rested, we woke up tired and with back pain.
After reading other guests’ reviews, it became clear that our experience was not an isolated incident. Many visitors mention outdated rooms, cleanliness issues, poor maintenance, and a general lack of quality that is difficult to reconcile with the hotel’s four-star rating.
I would definitely not recommend this hotel. Verona offers far better accommodation options for a similar price. We certainly will not be returning to Hotel Maxim.
