Everything perfect.

I had a very good time, everyone was kind and professional, the secretary Armando was helpful and kind. Shuttle driver available and kind. Housekeepers kept the rooms clean and with care, breakfast waiters kind and attentive, compliments, you are a great team.

Nice but it doesn't dance.

The hotel looks good but behind the appearance... On the second day, we had a terrible welcome at the restaurant: the staff did not notice our presence and we heard the blonde curly lady at the reception yelling at an employee, who, humiliated, left the room visibly upset (and, in a low voice, complained about the incident to the head waiter, the good Michele). The breakfast was not up to a four-star standard, beyond the scoldings to the subordinates: the homemade pastries were indigestible (probably made with few and poor ingredients), the slices of salami and cheese were limited, and the bread was not fresh, to say the least stale. The staff wandered around the hotel trying to make the environment pleasant but with meager results; the aforementioned blonde lady and a few other presences (the owner's eye) created a certain discomfort. The hotel mainly welcomes pilgrims visiting San Giovanni Rotondo (in fact, the hotel recommends dining at the Padre Pio restaurant, to stay on theme) and the cave of San Michele. At breakfast, you will find yourself in one of two situations: 1) hungry devotees storming the buffet; 2) a few scattered guests sharing the leftovers left by the departed faithful. A grotesque situation. Although the hotel’s structure is well-maintained and tidy (the rooms are clean), I do not recommend staying at the Palace hotel. Last but not least, the affiliated beach establishment is very far away. Enjoy your vacation in Vieste; the sea and the beaches are truly beautiful, but this is thanks to the Nature of Gargano and not to the Palace hotel... Fortunately.

Very old cold and austere property which has not been kept up. We were there in mid April and it was virtually empty except for the live-in family.

The hotel was very nice, clean and inviting. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room accommodations were on point and comfortable.
